I’m with you on the Last Detail thing—that navy uniform really does look great on him. It’s funny how that works. And as for psychopaths... I don't know if they're actually "cool" or anything, but people just seem to gravitate toward them. You see it all the time. People absolutely love characters like Joker, Hannibal Lecter, or Jack Torrance. There's just something about that archetype that draws everyone in.

So I’m sitting here watching some old Western on channel 3 right now, and man, what an overrated hack this John Wayne guy is. Seriously, the hype is just total nonsense. 🤦

The whole movie feels like it's teetering right on the edge of being a parody.

William Holden is a legitimate heavyweight compared to him—a total class act. ☕

Overrated? Why didn't you watch a Duke movie first? And then you pick a film of his to judge. Just look at The Searchers and what he did there.

Just your standard, cookie-cutter Hollywood product. All that affectation—especially the way he walks—it feels like a parody to me. I don't fall for those cheap gimmicks.

I’ve always felt that John Wayne is to the classic Western what Clint Eastwood is to the Spaghetti Western, and honestly, I tend to lean more toward those gritty Spaghetti flicks and his specific brand of heroes.
There’s just something about them that hits different. Those old-school guys? They just don't feel as "cool" to me with their pristine button-downs, perfectly groomed hair, and faces that look like they haven't seen a day of dust in their lives. 👎
