Studied medicine? - nope.

BTW you probably don't realize they mostly use the same damn drill bit a guy uses to hang a picture frame in his living room - but sure, go off.

And how on earth do you know I didn't study medicine?!? 😁

Though I suppose it’s true that I didn't. My main obstacles were probably just my hatred of both blood and needles... honestly, nurses basically have to bribe me with Madonna before they can even get a needle near me to draw blood. 🙏 😬

Btw, did you realize that wherever you go to get blood drawn, they always have Madonnas on hand? - You didn't.

But I guess you might actually learn something from your Slipper yet. 😎

Bianchi has suffered internal cranial bleeding and has been put on life support. There's a possibility he'll need to go back into surgery.

Things have taken a turn for the worse. Like some people already pointed out, that first night is always the hardest. Fight this one, Bianchi, 🙂

Rtzuiop said:Man, what a dark day for racing

It's wild how this crap always hits motorsports in clusters

First, nothing—absolutely nothing—and then boom, three things happen at once

Ratzenberger, Senna—day after day—then Wendlinger two weeks later

Gonzalo Rodriguez and Greg Moore within a single week

Henry Surtees and Massa within seven days

And last year? Just one disaster after another—honestly, that whole year was probably the worst stretch for racing globally in as long as I can remember

So now we get these two in the same damn day

And yeah, I actually had some nasty nightmares about it between Saturday and Sunday

It seems we finally have an explanation for why he was carrying such immense speed during the exit: they were busy waving the green flag while they were still clearing Sutilov's car from the track 🤦

Are you kidding me? He actually hauled off the entire excavator...

Man, this could have been an even bigger disaster. He could've hit any one of those workers nearby... Truly terrifying. 😢

Hang in there, Bianchi...

Man, I honestly thought he was just going to bounce off the fence into a tractor, but he went straight for it... 😢

I honestly have no idea how that damn tractor/loader/piece of heavy machinery didn't just take his head clean off.

The only silver lining in this whole disaster is that—if my math is right—he only narrowly avoided being crushed by the machine. He was maybe 20cm off from being hit dead center... 😢

tell me about it

just look at this photo. Bianchi's helmet hits this angled part of the rear—which basically shoves his head deep into the cockpit—and slices right through the airbox

Pure luck. If that excavator had a sharp edge back there instead of this rounded shape—it definitely would've been a decapitation or a crushed skull.

By way of summary, I would personally offer this race a rating of 7/10.
Driver of the race: Jenson Button 🙏

This is truly harrowing. The driver was tossed about violently; if he manages to pull through this, he deserves nothing less than total admiration.
I can only hope he possesses the inner strength required for such a recovery.
Furthermore, the footage speaks volumes. One has to wonder at the competence of a race official acting with such frantic instability, waving a green flag at entirely inappropriate moments.
