I can't even begin to process this. What are you actually trying to say? This isn't a conversation, it's just noise. Give me something real to work with or don't bother posting at all. kaže:
Man, that track is absolute perfection. Easily one of my all-time favorites. 🙏 🙏 🙏

I’m half-expecting our moderator to dock twenty points from the PDF car guy just because those images in the opening post were a little too massive. 🙂

As for the racing in Canada, I’m expecting a lightning-fast Red Bull and McLaren to be breathing down everyone's necks. Ferrari looks like a bit of a disappointment lately, and Mercedes isn't looking much better either, though maybe some Renaults might actually climb toward the front... as for the rest of the field? I wouldn't be surprised to see them trailing by at least a full lap or three.

I don't recall ever handing out a sanction for an opening race post just because of the photos. 😉
Is it overkill? Sure, it probably is, but what can you do? ☕

I wonder if they'll actually broadcast it. Since it's the World Cup, I assume there's coverage... but is there any chance it'll be on PBS 🤷

Racing in Canada is always a thrill ride, but man, it can get dangerous fast. It’s high stakes. I still vividly remember that nasty crash Kubica had back in 2010

Red Bull Racing 0.8, 1.8 🤣

Crosses the line first, but they're missing half their parts. 😬🤣

Is it excessive? Sure, I suppose it is. But what can you really do about it? ☕

I truly hope you took that as a joke, Michael Lee4—it was certainly a bit biting, but at the end of the day, it was meant as a joke.😍

silvercobra68 said:The idea that the British invented soccer is just another myth. They actually gave us polo, cricket, golf, fox hunting, tennis, and things like that.

Soccer was actually dreamed up by some ancient nomadic tribes kicking around a bundled-up rag; honestly, people in Morocco or Pakistan used to play similar versions in their backyards with a scrap of cloth and a bit of space, and that was that.

The British were cut from a different cloth. A true gentleman would saddle his horse in the morning, call his buddies, and head off into his private woods to hunt a few foxes, which they'd then feed to the hounds. In the afternoon, he’d grab a golf club and whack a ball around his private estate.

Soccer, on the other hand, was played by the poor folks who didn't have a private lawn, just a shared patch of dirt—usually a courtyard where chickens wandered around, everything smelled terrible, and dust flew everywhere. But unfortunately, like a stubborn weed spreading across our planet, this cursed "soccer" thing metastasized until it became unstoppable. It's a tragedy. Now we have 22 uneducated players, half of whom are imported from developing nations, all chasing one ball. After the match, they pose for models—uneducated, too. Then they marry and have kids who follow the same path. Those watching think it's "totally cool," and everything goes to hell. Eventually, they stop educating their own children and just send them out to kick a ball (what used to be a bundle of rags) in the hope that their kid might pull the family out of poverty. Occasionally, it works; a young player moves to Europe, makes some money, and feeds an entire village. Everyone is happy, the word spreads, and the cycle continues. It’s like a cancer; it's going to ruin us. That's my take on it.

Hmm... yeah. Uneducated people with plenty of cash...

I'm expecting rain, or at least overcast skies, for the US Grand Prix 2010 in Montreal... and looking at the champion wall, I'm mostly expecting to see Jaime and maybe some HRT employees... God help us, we'll be watching...

Oh, right... back to soccer again... regarding Canada, the broadcasts don't line up, but what are we going to do about Valencia (June 27) and Silverstone (July 11)?

Rain it is, then...🤷

Maybe it's an exaggeration, but what can you do? ☕

Forget him. He's been hating on me for two years just because I shut down the car chat, so now he just stalks my profile to see what I'm up to. ☕

I'm used to seeing these images at like 800p when I'm browsing car sites, so I honestly never gave a damn about resolution. In this day and age, with high-speed internet, I don't get why anyone even cares about image size anymore. Anyway, too bad I couldn't find a bigger Budweiser. 😬

Regarding the broadcast, like I said before, HBO covers everything. They put qualifying on their streaming service, while the race on Sunday is on the main channel right between two games. If you don't have access to the streaming service for qualifying, just find a stream or something.

As far as the race goes, I’m just hoping that 50% chance of rain hits. If it does, let's see if anyone can actually beat McLaren.

June 27th is the round of 16, race should be at 2 PM, so it won't clash with the games, and July 11th is the final, so there shouldn't be any scheduling conflicts there either...

There aren't even many high-speed corners here. McLaren might actually have the edge.

Michael Lee4 As requested:
Oh, just let him be. Honestly, he’s been nursing a grudge against me for two years now, all because I decided to shut down the chat on the automobile section. Ever since then, it feels like he's just lurking around the forum, constantly stalking my every move to see what I'm up to. Why does anyone hold onto such bitterness for so long? ☕

😲 I feel genuinely insulted right now... Am I really supposed to hold a grudge against you just because of that nonsense involving the chat?

It’s true that I’ve scaled back my visits to the forums lately. I really only find myself popping into the Automobile, Formula 1, and OFF sections now. So, please don't think I'm stalking you; it's just that our paths happen to cross in two out of those three places.

Furthermore, right after Spa-Francorchamps,

these are easily the two best tracks on the schedule—everything else just can't compete,

I am seriously looking forward to the race.

Michael Lee4 said:Just ignore him. He's been holding a grudge against me for two years ever since I shut down the automobile chat, so now he just stalks my activity on the forum to see what I'm up to.☕

Regarding image sizes, I was used to scrolling through those 800p images back on the car forums, so I never really gave it a second thought. Honestly, I can't imagine anyone getting frustrated by file sizes nowadays with how fast internet is. Anyway, it's a shame I couldn't find a larger Budweiser bottle.😬

As for the broadcast, like I mentioned before, HBO covers everything. They put the qualifying sessions on HBO Plus, while the Sunday race is on the standard HBO2 channel right in that sweet spot between two big games... If you don't have HBO Plus for qualifying, you'll just have to hunt down a stream or something similar.

When it comes to the race itself, I'm just crossing my fingers that the 50% chance of rain actually hits. If it does, I hope the better driver—or perhaps a McLaren—takes the win.

It's such a relief to know you're right about the HBO Plus situation... ah, I can finally breathe again.🙂

Does a Budweiser actually exist with the Gilles Villeneuve track printed on it?🙈 ??

I've never actually attended a Formula 1 race in person. From what I hear, Monaco would be my first choice, though I'd probably be breaking the bank if I actually got the chance to go to either Monaco or Montreal.🙂

Talk about making an entrance🙏 I mean, what else could you expect from McLaren fans? 🙏

As for the race itself... honestly, we should all probably just prepare ourselves for another McLaren win while they casually pull away from everyone else.🙏
