I might honestly just blast a random email over to Ford—hey, maybe they’ll actually bring back some legends and put Montoya 😍 and Takuma Sato 😍
back in the seat.
Everything else is pretty much irrelevant anyway... 🤣

But I am definitely, absolutely, 1000000000000000000000000000% not painting my room in that stunning Ferrari red 🤣 😂

Takuma Sato 😍—honestly, even I'd root for that kamikaze style of driving 😁

Wait, though... who would actually want their room looking like a damn cupcake factory? 😕 🤮

I honestly don't know what is wrong with you people—seriously, Lucas Massa is just a total crybaby ☕ 😛

Lucas Massa is basically the South American standard for being soft, while Fernando Alonso is the European unit of measurement for it ☕

Yeah,

I honestly think Stanley Kubrick is going to take this one 🙏

They're gonna win... with what? 🤷

On this fast track, it’s really just Red Bull Racing and McLaren fighting for the trophy. That is, unless things go completely sideways—especially if we get rain, though trying to call that is a total crapshoot.

There will certainly be four safety cars deployed during the race.

It’s just not right to 😲

One 🤣🤣
for each of those top four teams.

Not him either. They’ve only got that one Mercedes, but you can bet they’ll be making four pit stops. Everyone will swap tires during the first round, except for Lewis Hamilton, who'll probably pull it off twice.

I'm just kidding....😉

A total disaster, obviously.....😬

Just another failure: so basically Hamilton is going to have to pit twice just to get his tires sorted...😁
They'll slap on new tires, pull them right back off, put on a different set, and then finally let him out of the pits—now that's some interesting strategy. 🤔

Alright, let's get down to business.
Martin Whitmarsh mentioned that McLaren is bringing a fresh front wing to the 2010 Canadian Grand Prix, since their previous iteration didn't quite deliver the results they were looking for, even though the new rear wing worked out much better. They’ve also got a low downforce version of the rear wing ready, along with some diffuser tweaks, all of which should hopefully yield at least a few steps forward in performance.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed🙏🙏, though I honestly don't think anyone has a clue where Red Bull is finding that extra edge in qualifying... sure, they have more
downforce, but it's pretty obvious they're the only ones who actually figured out how to pull it off....

There is some interesting chemistry involving the pullrod suspension, which allows for much tighter packaging of the engine and gearbox. This results in a superior aerodynamic profile, along with several other minor tweaks that McLaren seems to be constantly reporting to the FIA. It reminds me of how Red Bull had to alter their axle shapes and rear shock absorbers during the last race, or how they had to adjust the diffuser just before that. It feels like Adrian Newey has hit the mark here, much like he did with that McLaren car back in 2005, though the only downside is that it's being driven by these two idiots and, like most of Newey's designs, it's incredibly fragile.

Joshua Newman2 said:So, let’s hear those driver showdown predictions. Webber or Vettel? Alonso or the crybaby? Hamilton or Button? Schumacher or Rosberg? Kubica or Petrov?

At Renault, they know exactly who the number one driver is. Petrov only finishes ahead of Kubica if Kubica’s engine blows up—which isn't happening because his car is better—or if he spins out.

Last race they had to mess with the axle shapes and rear dampers at Red Bull, and the one before that, it was something with the diffuser. Newey really nailed this chassis just like he did that McLaren back in 2005, it's just a shame it's being driven by these two idiots, and like most of Newey's designs, it feels incredibly fragile.

True enough, though even back then, the hydraulics on that Mercedes engine basically handed the title straight to Alonso....👎 man, if only that engine had been half as reliable as what we're seeing now...

There's a lot of chatter about the suspension on the new Red Bull, but honestly, everyone is just grasping at straws... some say
this and others say that... I guess we'll find out how the McLaren vs Red Bull comparison actually looks during qualifying this Saturday.

Some people, the more well-read and perceptive types, suggest that during that season, Newey completely ignored how that engine would actually fit within the MP-4/20 chassis. Apparently, even during testing, they pointed out that the entire powertrain was prone to overheating, but he just wouldn't listen. Once those alleged permitted modifications were made, the Renault engine proved to be exceptionally efficient—boasting minimal fuel consumption and, consequently, much lower component temperatures—yet the RB6 still features that massive cooling gap at the rear.

I remember hearing all that talk about camber angles, oil flow, and engine cooling, but honestly, given how much Mercedes used to pull the wool over everyone's eyes back in the day, I wouldn't bet a single cent on any of it being legitimate...☕

Basically, over on the Autosport forums, Hamilton's race engineer is incredibly fired up, insisting that this is clearly McLaren's race to win—just like it was back in Valencia—and claiming that only a blunder similar to what happened in Malaysia could possibly cost them the victory.

One thing is for sure, Whitmarsh and the McLaren crew were definitely snooping around the Red Bull garage again and then ran straight to the FIA to complain. 🤣

🙂🙂 They basically stole Newey and our chocolate supply; someone needs to give them a serious kick in the pants. 🙂

It’s an easy task for Newey, though I suspect they’ve effectively sidelined Tombazis 😁

So everyone's having this massive debate over whether that's actually Andy Latham...🤣

Look, given how this track is laid out, McLaren really ought to be in a pretty strong
spot here..☕
