Picked them up at Walmart, so honestly, they might have been sitting on that shelf for months. The whole section looked pretty pathetic, too—kind of dusty and neglected, like nobody had even touched it in ages...

Seriously though, all these waffle products are insanely sensitive to humidity. The second they soak up even a tiny bit of moisture, they lose like 75 percent of their quality. They’re supposed to be totally crisp and crunchy, you know?

If it were near $0.67 maybe I'd grab it more often

At Walmart, those imitation KitKats are $4.75 8 pieces, and honestly, the flavor is just like the original KitKat...

I really hope that's actually the reason... Honestly, I think I might just try my luck with a KitKat again tomorrow morning and see if things go any differently.
