Rijeka's finest: Local gems?

Hey, Brandon Castillo4, where have you been hiding? Haven't seen your face in ages. You doing alright? 😁

best 😬

Man, I absolutely love this stuff! 🙏

So, I heard that the Halidov concert last night was absolutely packed—like, total chaos. The turnout was so massive it actually caused a massive traffic jam all over town. 😬

I'm hardly shocked 😬

But honestly, this week is pretty manageable. Yesterday we had some subreddits, then Mandelbrot sets, Gatuso, Avdić, and a few metalheads from Poland 🙂

The return of Point 😁

Bumping this thread back to life😁

I guess they're still losers? 🤷

Yeah.

With Palach hitting 15.5, they're basically handing the keys over to SCRI management, and I can only imagine how much of a mess that’s going to be. The whole stereo vibe has already shifted toward house and techno—just a massive pile of club tracks playing all night. Even Cleveland, which used to be this legendary rock hub, is being tossed into the history books along with everything else that actually gave that scene its soul.

I guess that classic Cleveland rock scene has been gone for years now. Judging by the turnout at local shows, Cleveland seems to be more about that heavy bass and modern electronic stuff (though I'll admit, I don't really follow those genres much myself).

Hasn't dramenbejs already drifted somewhat into the dusty archives of history?

The Palach 15.5 takeover by SCRI? I can only imagine the fallout. Stereo shifted almost entirely toward house and techno, which led to plenty of closures. Now Cleveland—once the bedrock of rock—is being relegated to the history books, along with everything that built its reputation.

I’m joining the complaining. Palach needs to maintain its alternative edge. It's a Cleveland staple. Back in the late 70s and early 80s, my own crew and I used to spend our time dreaming about rock and punk shows at Palach.🙂

Palach needs to be burned. 😬
