I'm not quite sure how to upload an image for my avatar; I clearly missed that step during registration...
Also, does anyone know what the maximum file size should be?

Just click here, select Google, pick your image, and hit save changes.

Keep in mind the avatar needs to be under 50x50 pixels and stay within a 9.8 KB limit.

Cheers. 🙂

What kind of file extension am I actually looking for for this avatar?

Last time I swapped mine out, I just used TinyPic and everything went smooth as silk... now I'm trying to do the exact same thing, but for some reason, it’s straight up rejecting my .jpg files.😕

It accepts .jpg files, but honestly, you’re probably just hitting a file size limit:

"Your custom image can't exceed 60 by 60 pixels or 9.8 KB—take whichever one is lower." "

By the way, why even bother with Tinypic? Just upload directly from your computer. 🤔

So, look, I'm trying to get this one specific image up 😬 but all I could find was this tiny little thing—maybe 250x200 pixels or something—so I tried shrinking it down through TinyPic to see if that would help. I've attempted uploading it directly from my hard drive and even tried pulling it straight from the web, but nothing is working... just total dead ends.🤷

Drop a link to the avatar so we can actually see what the issue is.

Interesting enough. Even though the extension says .jpg, the avatar is actually a PNG. 😉

Location: http://i48.tinypic.com/juwdqp.jpg
Type: PNG Image
Size: 5.98 KB (6,122 bytes)
Dimensions: 41px × 50px

The link you posted just goes straight to a website, not to an avatar.

Just use this link instead and you shouldn't run into any more trouble. 😉

Just like anyone else here. As long as this rule holds up:

"The maximum size of your custom image is 60 by 60 pixels or 9.8 KB (whichever is smaller)."

jadetrucker43 said:It’s basically the same deal as anyone else. The bottom line is you just have to stick to this rule:

"The maximum size of your custom image is 60 by 60 pixels or 9.8 KB (whichever is smaller)."

Look, man, don't go trying to act superior to the regular forum crowd. 😁 Most of them are rocking 50 x 50. 😳

Oh, really? I had no idea. 😵

Heh, just another little perk of having a blacked-out profile—along with a way bigger inbox and actually being able to use the Search function without waiting forever after every single query... 😍

It’s just another perk of having a black username—you get a much larger inbox and can actually use the search engine without hitting a cooldown timer after every single query... 😍

And you can still check out a detailed user profile, right? 🙂

Look, those are just standard moderator tools—basically the admin panel—so there’s really nothing out of the ordinary about them. But honestly, we're drifting pretty far off-topic here. 😉
