Harassment via PM

Due to the unauthorized sharing of private messages—a practice strictly forbidden here on Reddit—Brian Edwards78 has been issued a 30-day ban.

Is insulting someone via private message actually allowed here? ☕

Not trying to start anything, I guess. I’m just wondering if the rules on this Reddit apply to DMs too... 🙂

I don't think so. But that's why you have the ignore button and the option to disable PMs altogether.

The only ones who can message you are the mods. Pretty sure you can't block them.

As for hollowtrucker77, I don't think that's okay. But hey, unfortunately, that's just how some moderators act. Hopefully, nobody took it personally.

Honestly, the mods on this American site don't really moderate properly.

I’m jumping in to join the congratulations too.

That being said, I really think his ban should be shortened. He was essentially pushed into doing what he did,
acting just as slippery as the moderator who waited until everything blew up before finally looking at the facts.

I saw it with my own eyes... she should’ve been kicked off the mod team ages ago just to stop this whole "who you know" buddy-buddy system from running the show...

Her little corner for banned users is basically a VIP lounge for the mods—it’s just a way for them to pretend they’re being fair when they aren't at all 😬 It’s honestly great PR for the mod squad...if they actually acted like a cohesive unit instead of a pack of wolves whenever some regular user tries to appeal a ban on the forum, we'd be talking about something else entirely...
