I’m looking at this and I honestly can't believe my eyes—right after that "Kids, eat your fruit" bit (2:26), there's my face clearly visible. To make matters even better, someone actually managed to swipe my entire garden hose reel, including the full hundred feet of hose, just the other day.

Yeah, we actually shot that clip specifically to make it look as trashy as possible. Just a total parody of those old 80s action flicks.
Over-the-top explosions, zero plot... you know the drill. It didn't turn out exactly how we planned
since we couldn't get the whole crew together this summer (half were working, half weren't even in town), but it's alright.

Regarding that Scary Movie parody... I’ve been meaning to weigh in for a few days now, but couldn't quite find the right words.

Anyway... it has its moments. It isn't perfect, but there's this one shot where everything goes south... when the guy turns around, opens fire, and just absolute chaos erupts everywhere while a few tracers zip past him... man, I lost it. I was laughing my head off all day over that one part.
So... even if nothing else, that single scene alone makes the whole thing great.👍🙏🙏🤣🤣

This is way too good. You guys seriously need to be hitting up film festivals with this... and I don't just mean the Sundance Film Festival, because you’d definitely walk away with an award there. My advice? Submit both pieces next year.👍👍

Thanks 😁. We're hitting up Sundance Film Festival and SXSW next year. Not sure which other festivals would be a good fit for stuff like this. I do all the effects myself.
