I am requesting this, if at all possible, because your conduct—or more accurately, the conduct of the moderation team over at the Women's Corner—is, to put it mildly, unacceptable. Despite being a member of this Forum for quite some time, I have never encountered anything remotely like this, nor do I intend to ever experience it again. A few days ago, I launched what I believed to be a potentially engaging discussion within the Women's Corner regarding the very existence of gender-segregated sections, with the hope of fostering a broader, more serious dialogue concerning gender ratios and, primarily, discrimination. It was perfectly evident from my opening post that;
- I was not insulting anyone;
- I was not violating any of the site's rules;
- and it should be obvious to any intelligent participant that it was never my intention to destabilize the Forum's existing social order, even if that order is, in many respects, highly debatable.
Following the launch of the thread, I experienced technical issues with your server (which I noted in one of my posts), preventing me from immediately engaging in the "debate" which, aside from a handful of infantile provocations, had barely truly begun. In the meantime, without any explanation whatsoever from the moderation team, my topic was moved to "Poppy" with the clear intent of turning it into nothing more than incoherent squawking... presumably because certain amateurish moderators failed to grasp—and, worse, simply refused to understand—the actual point of the thread, which, I repeat, was NOT to abolish gender-segregated spaces. (And even if it were, I fail to see why that would be an issue, other than perhaps inconveniencing a few ego trips that would then find themselves without a moderator's baton to wave about).
Naturally, this triggered a "party" where an incensed mob—with enthusiastic approval from the moderators—began attacking and insulting me using every tool at their disposal, while completely trolling the thread.
After I found myself unable to defend against such a hysterical crowd, and having received absolutely no response from the moderation team to my publicly posted question—why was the thread moved to Poppy?—the moment I finally retaliated against a single user with a similar insult, I was the one receiving a warning??!! From the very same moderation team that did everything in its power to allow everyone else to "discipline" me with their vast arsenal of vitriol, a process that continued even after I ceased participating.
To summarize: I merely opened a discussion that, with the blessing of the moderators, devolved into exactly what it became—an uncivilized, primitive, and downright rude spectacle.
This is made all the more egregious by the fact that one of the moderators, Herb, saw fit to publicly disclose my personal information by stating my age in a post. First of all, my age is private data, and without my express permission, the moderation of this Forum has no right to disclose anything pertaining to my real life, let alone my age, which is entirely irrelevant to this Forum or the topic at hand; whether I am nineteen or fifty-one is my own business. However, perhaps you require a reminder of your own regulations:
It is a shame. This used to be a decent Forum.
In light of everything mentioned, I no longer wish to be an active or passive member of this Forum (or more accurately, what little remains of it), and I request that you delete my user account.

You define your own level of anonymity on this Forum. The Forum editorial staff commits to keeping all your data private unless you choose otherwise. The sole exception is a police or court order, under which we are legally obligated to provide the IP address of a user currently under investigation.
