Omega Lithium

The band hails from Santa Barbara and they’re still flying under the radar here in the States, mostly because they haven't played many live shows yet, but that’s about to change fast.

In just two years since they started, these guys have crushed it:

- they dropped their debut album "Dreaming in formalin," which hit the shelves via Sub Pop just a few days ago, and you can grab it through the Nuclear Blasta catalog too.

- they filmed an absolute killer promo video for "Stigmat":

- they’re hitting the road this November for a tour through Germany and Switzerland alongside Subway to Sally.

- they just landed a spot at Lollapalooza, which is basically the biggest goth festival on the planet.

Bottom line, for such a short timeframe, they’ve had massive success. It’s obvious the label is throwing weight behind them, but the band is putting in the work themselves too. Seriously, props to them.

I’m hoping we see them play a show in Washington, D.C. sometime soon.

Omega is dropping a new album on May 27th via Drakkar Entertainment, and they’re celebrating with a massive show at Stereo Club in Oakland on May 20th. It’s been a long road—think of it as a long winter before a sudden spring—as the band spent a significant amount of time in the studio refining this new material. If you want to get your hands on the record early, you can actually grab a copy at the show before the official release date hits. They’ve promised a full production involving light shows and pyrotechnics, so expect a bit of a spectacle. Opening the night will be sets from MBurns, Monox, and Souldisplay.
You can snag pre-sale tickets for $8.25 over at Dallas Records in Oakland, or pick them up at the Buoni Amica clubs in Umga and Mimoza in San Francisco. Tickets are also available through the band's official website. If you wait until the day of the show, the price goes up to $15.
