In your opinion, what are the absolute best thrash metal bands?
What is it about the genre that keeps you hooked?
Also, am I the only one who thinks 80% of people are completely illiterate? Every single time you mention "thrash metal," they inevitably spell it "trash metal."😁😂🤣

It’s Metallica, obviously. Look, I know, I know... here comes some genius to tell me they aren't actually thrash. But they are! And honestly? They're probably the best thrash band to ever do it.
Slayer is also killer. Not really sure why, though... maybe just because I'm a sucker for a good blast beat, so thrash just hits right for me.

Old school Malevolent Creation, Morbid Saint, Slayer, Forbidden, Death Angel, Dark Angel, Heathen, Sacrilege, Kreator, old school Anthrax, Paradox (obviously🙂), SOD, Testament, Energetic Crusher, and of course classic Sepultura. Total devastation, man. Toxik, Holy Moses, and Holy Terror—man, just thinking about it is enough to get you fired up. Basically, the kings of metal are the legends, and the real deal was all played in the mid-to-late 80s. I respect those who are trying today, but for me, it’s just straight retro. Go read Anthrax.
