Try hitting them up via email, though I doubt they’ll respond. Amazon might be your best bet, provided you don't mind paying upfront since they don't offer cash on delivery. experiences — if you want, I can put together something similar for you right there.

Just kidding. Sort of.

But seriously—if you're heading into Chicago in a couple of days, I can get that sorted for you for the price of a decent rotisserie chicken. 😁

People definitely pay for that. If I recall correctly, Larry Ortiz5 mentioned they handle those billing details perfectly. 😬

I still assume most folks stick to the official authorized service centers "just in case," though.
As for everything else? It’s a total crapshoot. A friend of mine told me she hired some "technician" through a random Craigslist ad and paid him about $133 just to swap out a power supply—only to find out the guy had ripped her off by installing some cheap, used piece of junk.

It just occurred to me that a friend of a friend who ran a small business—handling things like cash registers and tax compliance—actually filmed a Windows demo— $100 if I recall correctly

Honestly, I used to charge by the $67. Why on earth is it so expensive? You’ve got the Windows installation, then activation, followed by all those Windows updates, plus hunting down drivers and getting essential software installed. The whole process drags on for three or four hours—man, Windows updates just eat up so much time. I'm not the kind of person who's going to just break a Windows setup and walk out, only to have them call me back later as a "returning customer" complaining about what isn't working. Either you do the job right from the start and stay patient, or don't bother doing it at all.

How much do you usually charge for this kind of thing? If you don't mind me asking, of course 😁

I don't film my private life for much of anything (I only share bits with those closest to me—so, extremely rarely)

If only it were just about putting in the work. You lose at least two hours, maybe even more sometimes.

A buddy of mine handles this perfectly—just wipes the C: drive and runs the installer without any drivers or anything. All you end up with is a recycle bin on the desktop. 🤣

That’s exactly how this one works, too. I can tell by looking at it: it's just Windows. No graphics drivers, no updates, nothing at all.

Usually around $400—though it hits $500 if we're talking about a more serious build involving some niche software tweaks or those weird, exotic peripherals that everyone seems to obsess over lately. 😁

Wait, how can you say $33 is more exotic if it's just some remote outskirts? 😁 You know that means the owner is probably digging a deeper hole for themselves, right? 😬

I’ve always just been able to set everything up on my computers for free. Whether it was AV, Winse, random stuff I found, cleaning out malware, or just some other junk software.

Look, I’m telling you—it’s going to be a total nightmare with the drivers. Especially if you're trying to force some ancient hardware to play nice with a modern rig and a brand-new OS. It’s always a mess. 😁

Honestly, Razer’s drivers are such a massive headache 😁
