Are the drivers working properly? Is the USB cable plugged in securely? Does the computer recognize it?

In what specific way is it failing to respond?

Alright, here's the deal: I have a Canon Pixma printer. It was working fine until recently, but now it's just completely unresponsive.

All the cables are fine, I haven't touched any settings, and the power is on.
The troubleshooter claims everything is fine, and my PC recognizes the printer (it even shows a green checkmark next to it under Devices and Printers). When I try to print something, the "What's printing" window shows the job is there, but nothing actually happens.

1. Where can I check how much ink is left? (Canon Pixma, Windows 7)
Ideally, could someone give me a step-by-step guide?

2. What else could be causing this?

Additionally, I’ve already tried restarting the print spooler, my PC, the printer, and pretty much everything else you can reboot.

It could be an issue with the ink levels, but I can't actually tell how much is left—or more importantly, how much is missing. Though, honestly, that shouldn't really be the culprit since it used to print even when I was out of ink, even if it just spit out a blank sheet.

I'm not quite sure what the issue might be; it could be anything from worn-out rollers to a glitch in the electronics...
🤷

Didn't you get the software on the printer's disc that lets you check your remaining ink levels?

I can't quite remember, it's pretty old.

If anyone else has any ideas, let me know.

Have you attempted to reinstall the drivers?

I suggest searching online for the complete driver and software package...

I wouldn't go down that rabbit hole; I doubt that's even the issue.

Look, I’ll just come out with it right away because I basically just crashed into this forum and jumped into a thread that doesn't even involve me personally. I’m typing this on my phone and honestly, searching through everything was too much work since the screen is tiny... anyway, I was hoping someone might know. My kids managed to smash the screen on my laptop—it's an HP 250 series 1 model—so I'm wondering if I can just buy a replacement screen of the same dimensions from some other random laptop. Do you guys think it'll actually work? 🙂 I found another HP part on Craigslist with the exact same dimensions, but it's from a different computer model. Thanks in advance for any help.🙂

I am not an expert on this, but the connector on the motherboard is what really matters. It looks like yours is a vidim 40-pin connection, so please verify that first...

Also, it would be wise to ask the seller if that specific display is compatible with your particular laptop model.
