Is it fair for a moderator to have zero threads under their name?

I’ve noticed that the moderator Ego is running things over in the psychology section, yet they haven't actually started a single thread there.🙄

To be honest, it feels a bit unfair and illogical. It just seems like poor quality control, and frankly, it makes me question the whole process we use to select moderators in the first place.
Something about this just doesn't sit right with me.😉

(Now, full disclosure: I don't personally know this individual—this is all coming from an anonymous standpoint. I truly wish them nothing but the best in life, but we shouldn't be letting people manage subforums where they aren't even active participants.)
