Here is a new day and yet another question—and I am posting it here specifically to avoid cluttering up the forum with a whole new thread:
My goal: burn an ISO file along with one additional document onto a single DVD.
When I use Roxio, the option to burn an ISO is there, but that seems to be the only thing it allows. Once I burn the ISO, I can't seem to add any other files to the disc. Is there a way to do this without wasting a bunch of time spinning my wheels?
I realize this might sound like a silly question, but hey, we all have to learn at some point.🙂

What if you just baked that file directly into the ISO itself?

Hmm, true, that could work. But what happens if the data is already burned onto a DVD—whether it's an ISO or something else entirely?

If you're looking for an alternative to Nero, even a bird on a roof knows about Ashampoo Burning Studio 9; it's actually decent, unlike Nero, which is just this massive, clumsy elephant of a program. Once you try Ashampoo, there is zero desire to ever go back to that messy, disorganized Nero disaster. I saw someone mention they never had issues with failed burns on Nero while everything goes wrong with Ashampoo, but let’s be real—media burn failures happen with pretty much any software you throw at them, and usually, it's just a bad disc. Given how expensive media is these days, you really have to watch out regardless of the program you pick.🙏 Honestly, Nero is a total wreck, like a junker with a door falling off a Ford, whereas I have nothing but praise for Ashampoo Burning Studio 9. Anyone actually using Ashampoo will tell you the same thing, and it’s been common knowledge for a long time now; I wouldn't touch Nero again even if someone paid me, there is absolutely no way.😁😉

If it was burned as a standard ISO, you aren't adding anything. Once that ISO transfer finishes, the software automatically closes the session.
The only way you can append more data later is if the CD or DVD was originally burned using multi-session mode.

That's exactly what I was wondering about.👍 Thanks.
So it just shuts down the session immediately? Got it, thanks.

It’s a known issue where even if you set up multisession burning, the drive won't recognize the CD/DVD as a multi-session disc later on; instead, it just sees it as a standard blank disc.

It’s always the same story once you start messing with computer hardware; everything eventually goes sideways.

Can anyone point me toward a decent alternative to Nero 9? Much like version 8, Nero 9 is just painfully slow whenever I try to open it up. I’m looking for a lighter burning suite that offers the same level of quality—or at least something reasonably close to what Nero provides.

Thanks!

cdburnerxp is actually top-tier
