Hardy is fine, but he just didn't quite click for me...

I did, but I’m always hoping they won't. Killing off a baby is the cheapest, most low-brow way to grab attention, and I'm glad he didn't take that route.

It’s one of those movies centered mostly on just one actor, kind of like Buried or Phone Booth. I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of that specific genre, but Hardy is always a solid choice!

Honestly, the movie was a total wash, and the ending? Even worse... just a complete waste of an hour and a half of my life.

This movie is actually quite good. Even though it’s essentially just one actor delivering information through phone conversations, I didn't find it boring at all. Hardy is excellent.

A truly stellar film. I am genuinely relieved with how the ending played out—even if my mind was racing through a dozen different scenarios while watching. To be honest, most of those alternatives felt like they would have been absolute clichés... you know, the typical Hollywood tropes like a sudden car accident, some tragic newborn tragedy, or the police pulling him over just to drag him into a station on some flimsy pretext... none of that happened, thank God.

It’s funny, really... you can have all the massive resources in the world at your disposal and still end up churning out total trash, like *Avatar* or that butchering of *The Hobbit* they did in three parts. Or, you can take the entire weight of the world and squeeze it into a single car, resting it entirely on the shoulders of one actor, and create something this powerful. My deepest respect to them.

As for my own take—it's not that I haven't liked Hardy before, per se—it’s just that I haven't sat through one of his films where he truly steals the show until recently... For me, Locke Hardy earns all the credit here. 😬

An excellent film, much like Tom Hardy, who absolutely kills it in every single role. Honestly, some people are just going to hate this because they can't handle it, but this is raw reality—it's the kind of thing that could happen to anyone at any moment.

Man, what an incredible movie. It’s got this vibe where it feels so simple and slow-paced, yet somehow stays incredibly intense and packed with substance at the same time? I actually watched it about five or six days ago, and honestly, I’m already thinking about giving it another spin soon because it just stuck with me so much.
The cinematography is just next level, you know? Even though we’re mostly focused on just one character while everyone else is basically just a voice in the background, my head was spinning with all these vivid mental images of what else was happening. Like, that scene where the guy from the construction site starts running? In my mind, I was picturing him sprinting down some dark, gritty alleyway or a shadowy street—man, that imagery is just powerful.

Hardy absolutely crushed it, no joke, he totally killed that performance.

The whole concept is just brilliant; I mean, we basically get to experience one single night—well, a specific chunk of one night—in this guy's life, and it was just fantastic.

I mean, I wasn't even surprised by how they brought his father into the mix. To me, that connection is everything... it ties his whole current mess to the stuff he's trying so hard to spare his kid from experiencing... you know?

I’ve sat through this movie three times now.
The first time around, I gave it an 8 on IMDb.
The second viewing? A solid 9.
Now, having just finished it for the third time, I went back to IMDb and bumped it up to a perfect 10.
