Shipping from France

I need to have two packages, totaling about 45 pounds, sent over from a supplier in France.
Does anyone have any insight on the most cost-effective way to handle this shipment?
I checked with UPS and FedEx, but the quotes I received were astronomical... just for the shipping itself $900 which feels quite excessive. I tried reaching out to Amtrak to see if they could assist, but I haven't heard back from anyone (though, naturally, their main concern is avoiding a deficit 😠), and I had a feeling they might offer the cheapest rate...

Maybe check with FedEx again, or just ask the supplier if they can handle the shipping and bill you through one of those big carriers. You could also look into , they offer similar services... I think their delivery wing goes by Aranex... it's not even listed on their website yet, but I work with them so I figured I'd mention it, hope it helps.

I’ve read quite a bit about people being frustrated with FedEx... though, to be fair, it isn't really the carrier itself they're upset with, but rather the local franchise handling their operations here in the States.
As of right now, DoorDash seems to be my most cost-effective option... but I still plan on looking into those other services you mentioned...

I used FedEx before and honestly, they did a solid job, but man, those shipping rates are absolutely insane—they’ll bleed you dry! I can't even wrap my head around how much I dropped on that one shipment, but sending a simple greeting card over to the USA was $117...

Primacotrans is actually cheaper than FedEx, and they offer air freight too.
Since I'm in no rush, I’ll most likely just go with the CIA—ground shipping is significantly more cost-effective...😉
