Dear fellow forum members,

I suppose I’m reaching out today because of something rather heavy on my mind, which I think is pretty obvious from the title itself. I was wondering if anyone here might have any experience or insights regarding a situation we're facing. To give you some context—and I hope this isn't too much information—it concerns my grandfather, who is currently 78 years old. He’s actually in quite good physical shape, all things considered for his age, and he’s doing remarkably well, except for this one specific issue that has cropped up. Apparently, he’s been dealing with this tumor for about six years now, and honestly, the doctors at our local clinic in a small town in the Midwest aren't entirely sure how to proceed. They haven't recommended surgery because they just can't say for certain whether it's malignant or benign, and even a biopsy didn't provide a clear answer. The location is also quite tricky, as there's a real risk it could press against the aorta, potentially leading to an aortic dissection. Chemotherapy hasn't been suggested either, mostly due to his age and some complexities regarding the tissue type that weren't fully clarified, so that doesn't seem like a viable path. In the end, after several days of deliberation and uncertainty, the surgeons did eventually agree to operate, but my grandfather decided against it. The doctors explained that if it turns out to be malignant, the surgery might actually make his condition worse, whereas there's a chance that since it has remained dormant for six years, it might just stay that way.

So, my grandfather is back home now, and he actually feels wonderful! He’s staying active and doing everything he used to do without any pain at all. The agreement with his medical team is that they will monitor him closely, and if they detect any growth—though nothing has changed in the last six months—they will step in and take action, but until then, they feel there's no immediate need for intervention.

What I really wanted to ask is, does anyone have any recommendations for supplements, specific remedies, or perhaps anything else you’ve heard of that might help? Whether it’s related to this specific condition, something similar, or just general wellness when dealing with tumors, I would truly appreciate any wisdom you can share.

Thank you all so much in advance for your responses.

Maybe try talking to some holistic practitioners... But when it comes to mainstream medicine, a tumor like that isn't going to budge without heavy hitters like chemo or radiation. If this thing has been dormant for six years, I doubt it’s suddenly decided to change its behavior now. Honestly, surgery and chemo both seem way too risky here—the complications would likely outweigh any potential benefits.
