macOS freezes when running on battery

Alright, here’s the deal:
OS: Windows 7 SP1
Machine: Dell Latitude

Every time I'm running on battery, Windows just completely freezes up when the charge hits roughly 75%, and then it happens again once it drops down to about 45%. This isn't a one-off thing either—it happens every second or third time I try to use the laptop unplugged.
The battery itself seems fine, and honestly, it works perfectly in another Dell Latitude I have.

Is a trip to the repair shop my only option here?

I’d say that readout driver is buggy... maybe you’re missing an update. Might be worth checking the manufacturer's forum to see what's up.

I tried tackling that the second the issue popped up.
To me, this whole thing reeks of a hardware failure.

The battery health report says everything is fine. I checked the stats, and there are only 92 charge cycles on this thing—hardly any wear at all. Even my other 620 model is running perfectly with its battery. I don't have a spare working battery on hand to run a comparison test, unfortunately. But, I just dropped it off at a buddy's shop—he does repairs—so he’s going to take a look and see what's actually going on.

Quick update: turns out the issue is actually hardware-related.

It has nothing to do with the battery. Is the radiator clean? Did it overheat and fry the motherboard?
Could the system be dirty, or maybe a virus?

I’ve already disconnected the battery entirely. The issue lies with the motherboard—under lighter loads, it just "forgets" to draw enough current. I’m currently on my third cycle running a heavier workload, and so far, everything has been fine. It did freeze once, though, during those few minutes when things were idling at the top.

The problem isn't heat; it's just poor engineering on the motherboard itself. Overheating was never an issue—I deep clean the dust out of this thing every three months and swap out the thermal paste every year and a half without fail.
