Alright, let me drop a little update here to refresh everyone's memory... Rise Against is hitting the road for a massive tour next year!
http://www.riseagainst.com/tour/

Right now, their closest stop looks to be Budapest—which is basically a quick trip from us—and it looks like tickets are already live on some event sites. Honestly, the price is pretty reasonable too, sitting at less than $67... 🙂 just a solid deal if you ask me.
Maybe they'll feel nostalgic for the States because of all those big festivals we host and swing by our way, but hey, even if they don't, Budapest is super easy to get to anyway... 🙂

No way, I am not heading back to Budapest twice in a row. We’re going to take a little trip toward Vienna instead, and if we manage to save enough cash, maybe we'll even make a run for Berlin. 👋

They’re an incredible band, though I suppose it’s a bit of a shame nobody seems to think about bringing them over to the States for a headlining tour.

Personally, my favorites have always been "Siren song..." and "Sufferer and the witness." That last one is decent enough too, I guess (satellite🙂)

So they stage a rebellion against some giant corporation,
honestly, that’s a given at this point,
but whatever—no thanks from me. Their sound is just plain dull. :-)

Honestly, I thought about that ages ago, I just can't seem to scrape enough cash together. 😳

👋

Idea: alright, come on you guys, let's start a GoFundMe for redmarlin3—everyone chips in a few bucks and we'll bring ris against to our neck of the woods (thinking maybe Boogaloo).
I'll buy TWO tickets just for the occasion! ...Assuming I actually have room to dance 🙂 ...so I don't have to trek all the way to Vienna, Budapest, Prague, or god forbid Helsinki (why the hell do they put Helsinki on the weekend while everything else is during the work week? Seriously, shame on them!) 🙂

Personally, I’ll grab TWO tickets for the occasion! ...If only I actually had enough floor space to dance 🙂 ...just so I don't have to trek all the way out to Vienna, Budapest, Prague, or heaven forbid Helsinki (why do they always schedule Helsinki for the weekend while everything else happens on a weekday? Seriously, what is wrong with them!) 🙂

If we can't make it work at the Boogaloo, we'll just have to drag them down to Romania. 👋

I honestly think they’re a fantastic band—their discography is just incredible—but I actually caught them live this past summer at Sziget in Budapest, and let me tell you, it was quite an experience.
It’s just like someone else mentioned on here, the lead singer has this incredibly raspy, raw vocal style, and unfortunately, they weren't really hitting their mark during the set. I didn't even get to stay for the whole performance because I had to dash off to catch another stage, but I'm genuinely bummed I missed out on hearing Savior. It’s such a beautiful track. 😍

Honestly, even the crappy sound system at Sziget and the singer’s shredded vocals (which I usually dig) didn't ruin the vibe, but hey, I'm just being 😍
subjective. 🙂 😁 Luckily, I caught the whole set since that was the entire reason I showed up

The Savior track is absolute fire!
😁 I seriously don't get how a band with lyrics this relevant and music this good... especially those lyrics 😉 isn't huge yet. But I bet their time is coming and we've got plenty of great stuff ahead of us. They don't compromise on quality, they do what they love, and they kill it—plus they seem legit, at least to me... but again, I'm biased

This is the only thing that's real or true"

So, we made it to Vienna. It was a great show—really impressive visuals and a pretty solid setlist... though there was this weird, mushy emo vibe hanging over everything. Not sure if it was the venue or just the crowd, but whatever.

Now I'm just waiting to hit the jackpot on the lottery so I can fly out to Interlaken (Switzerland) this June. 😢

Honestly, no need to trek all the way out there. There’s a similar thing happening in Buffalo near Vienna just a week before.
