I tried searching the forums, but nothing popped up regarding any movies based on Alan Ford, so I figured I'd just start a new thread myself...

Has anyone heard anything lately? Is there actually a movie in the works based on the Alan Ford series?

Man, I remember seeing some cartoon a long time ago... but honestly? I only have a few random frames stuck in my head. No clue how long it was or what else happened... just hazy memories.

Unfortunately, there isn't even a decent animated version, let alone a live-action movie, mostly because it’s based on an Italian comic book that hasn't really made a splash here in the States. But hey, you never know—maybe someone will decide to adapt it one day, much like how they're gearing up for that upcoming Dylan Dog adaptation starring Brandon Routh (from Superman Returns) in the lead role.

If you're looking for a movie that captures the visual vibe of Alan Ford, I'd say a classic American dark comedy like Beverly Hills Cop is probably the closest thing you'll find. 😬

Honestly, watching Black Cat, White Cat just gives me major Alan Ford vibes. It’s especially uncanny because there’s this one character who basically sticks to Alan Ford like glue throughout the entire movie... 🙂

2. Bob Rok-Majkl Imperoli
3. Number One played by Brad Dourif
4. Sir Oliver & Neil Morrison (with a bit of Tony from Seinfeld)
5. Grunf played by Arnold Schwarzenegger😁
6. Fat Boss-Kelso Grammer (think Fryer from Fryer)

Now, Alan Ford is a total bullseye, but the rest of them? I don't know... and Grunf? Honestly, he just doesn't fit the vibe for me, neither mentally nor physically—I'm picturing someone more like Steve Martin.

Of course I’d love to see a movie based on The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show, but let’s be real for a second... hardly anyone actually picks up those comics anymore, especially not the younger crowd. I mean, if some studio actually had the guts to turn that concept into a film, maybe—just maybe—it could spark a little interest and get people reading again. There’s definitely a niche audience out there that would show up, sure, but what about everyone else? Nobody in Hollywood sees the profit margins in that, you know? It feels like a lost cause to me, honestly. But hey, at the end of the day, a comic is just a comic.
