Why does my hair always look best the day before my barber appointment?

Ugh, tell me about it... on the one day I actually decide to get my hair done, it’s always perfectly soft and manageable, and I feel absolutely incredible. 😍But then, right after the haircut,
I end up looking like a total disaster. 😁

I only get my hair trimmed once a year—just the ends, mind you.
So, two months ago, I had an appointment scheduled at this specific salon—I know exactly which one, too—and I show up. A woman starts working on my hair, everything seems fine, she’s brushing through it... then suddenly, five different stylists 😍 are messing with me—basically just trainees who should actually know how to handle hair—and finally, the owner steps in and just hacks it all off 👎 Now it’s sticking out everywhere, and honestly, I feel like going back there just to let her have it. People file lawsuits over stuff like this all the time—claiming "emotional distress" and all that nonsense—because this isn't even the first time she's botched it. Last time, she messed up the inner layers and I could live with it, but the second she started hacking at the outer layer, I just lost it. And then she has the nerve to try and take a photo with me(?). The next morning, the first thing I did was struggle to style it, because if my hair isn't right, the whole day is a wash.
I don't get hairdressers, and I certainly don't get the point of getting a haircut. I'm going back to my old ways—DIY mode. Grab the scissors and go 😍

She cut me off deep, wiped out my whole inner circle, and I was actually fine with it. But once that monster started messing with the outside stuff? That’s when I officially lost it. And on top of that, she’s posting a photo with me?! Seriously? Anyway, first thing I did this morning was fix my hair. If my hair isn't right, my entire day is basically trashed.
I honestly don't get barbers. Like, I really don't get the whole point of sitting in a chair and paying someone to cut your hair. It’s just not me. So, I'm officially going back to my old ways—DIY mode activated. I'm grabbing the shears and doing it myself. Boom. Done. 😍

Honestly, just tell them to shove it when they show up from their internship with all that extra baggage! Or better yet, let the boss handle it—maybe she’s totally clueless about how this works. Seriously, man, it's such a headache. Just take them straight to court and go for it. Get Nodilo on the case!😁

Man, this guy has been straight-up playing me for a fool for six years now. Total joke!😁.
In those early days, man, LOL was such a handful! He’d constantly be breathing down my neck with all these demands—it was endless. Like, "Hey, do this," or "Check that out." We’d end up getting into these massive blowouts that would drag on for an hour, sometimes even longer. It was wild!
We’ve both "grown up" together—him evolving into this killer, super talented barber, and me becoming this increasingly low-maintenance client. I basically went from that awkward teenager shouting "watch the hairline!" to just some chill guy trying to figure out life and deal with this total dumpster fire of a world. LOL.

Just got home! Finally sitting down to chill. I’m gonna dive into some clicks and see what kind of madness Cosmo's throwing my way today.😁Man, I’m telling you, it’s wild. He’s even doing this whole thing where he uses double mirrors just to show me what the back of my hair looks like while he's cutting it. I don't even bother looking! Then he hits me with the, "Hey, you want some gel in there? You definitely need a little something," and I’m just like, "Nah, I'm good." Still, I end up sitting there for like 15 or 20 minutes with my head being manhandled. Total trip.

What’s the most ridiculous thing? Seriously, it’s like this one salon is basically a local legend or something—everyone in town knows their name!

Man, life is moving way too fast! Seriously, why does everything have to go by in such a blur?

"No way, let us brush it out for you," they say... 😈 In the end, the result is this mess. I ended up asking another stylist to do a fishtail braid from the top, paid my money, and just left. It was fine, I guess—even if they absolutely trashed my look—but then I wash it and everything seems okay until the next morning. After sleeping, I realize one whole section of my hair is super short. I spent half an hour sulking and cursing both the stylists and my own "need" for salon visits... because being a natural brunette with straight hair makes it easy to hide mistakes—it grows back—but for me, it barely grows half a centimeter in a year 😢

Honestly, I don't trust stylists at all. I'm definitely not going back for six years or anything 😢

I’m starting to fear my hair stylist more than my dentist.😢

I went in this past Saturday, chopped off a massive amount of hair, and added bangs—now I can barely face my own reflection.😢
But I have to admit, I finally found a stylist who inspires confidence; when I started fidgeting nervously during the cut, he was incredibly patient and kept me calm. It seems I've found the one.🙂

He has a protective edge, though it's tempered. He isn't one for small talk, but he demonstrates his technique clearly. 🙂 He is quite ideal. 🙂

I need someone with genuine confidence—someone who doesn't flinch when things get intense, or it's all over. 🙂

It applies across the board, though perhaps less vital than for a stylist—though maybe just as essential for my surgeon. 🤣
