Hey
Figured I’d reach out and pick the brains of people here who actually bother to read stuff...
So, look, I’m dealing with low blood pressure, weight loss (though it's slowed down lately), dizziness, this constant feeling of being unsteady, my vision narrowing, blah blah blah... I constantly feel like I can't catch my breath, like I just can't get enough air in, and then if I overdo the breathing, I just get hit with vertigo. My ears ring all the time too—sometimes it gets so loud I lose my sense of direction entirely. Honestly, I’m done talking to doctors. They all give me the same crap because of my age. Since I’m young, they just assume it'll pass on its own. But after several blackouts and these issues that won't quit, I am sick of listening to their nonsense and their total lack of interest. Has anyone else gone through this? What actually works? I’d honestly do anything just to feel even a little bit better...
thanks

Honestly, the stuff you're dealing with doesn't sound harmless at all—you seriously need to find a new doctor who isn't feeding you nonsense...
It could just be anemia or something, but there's no way a physician can just brush it off as "just being young"😲
And if they thought you were actually old, they’d probably blame it on your age instead...

Maybe it's an issue with your inner ear or your sense of balance?

So, I dealt with anemia for a bit a couple of years back, but things seemed to level out after that... or so I thought. Even though I was straight-up passing out constantly after getting blood work done, my doctor kept insisting everything was totally normal within range 🙂 Lately, though, I’m starting to wonder if it’s actually an issue with my inner ear or something. From everything I’ve been digging up online—since, you know, I don't have any other choice but to do my own research 👎—it feels like that could totally be it. But look, I’m obviously not a medical pro, so I'm not about to go playing doctor and diagnosing myself... mostly because I just don't have the energy for the inevitable fight with physicians. I wouldn't trust some doctor's reaction anyway; I know for a fact if someone talked to me like that, 👎 I'd lose it. Sure, there are exceptions to the rule, but I haven't run into a single one yet..........

If I were you, I’d go out and grab a second opinion from another specialist. Honestly, it’s a shame, but you run into doctors sometimes who just take everything at face value without really digging in.

My sister went through something pretty much identical to what you’re describing, and it turned out to be viral mono. It absolutely wrecked her; she was completely drained, her immune system just tanked, and she couldn't even look at food without feeling nauseous. She was dealing with these dizzy spells and near-fainting fits too, which I guess was a mix of pure exhaustion and not being able to eat anything. It took the doctors at the Mayo Clinic about two weeks to actually nail down the diagnosis, and honestly, we were just lucky it didn't end up causing any permanent liver damage. She was 27 at the time.
You should probably get your blood sugar checked and run a full panel to see where your iron levels are sitting.
