😁 No biggie, she just needs to blow off some steam... she's the type who loves grabbing a few drinks at the show and passing around a bottle of Jack with the crew. She's a good kid. 😍 makes me

I mean, sure, they have some weaker tracks too, but honestly, I think they've hit a high point here, even if there are a few decent moments scattered throughout...🤷
It all just feels a little bit formulaic to me, like everything else lately...🤷

The organization here is just a mess. How can they even be selling tickets when nobody actually knows who's hitting the stage? That's why it sucks. If anyone thinks I’m dropping $40 or whatever on a ticket based purely on rumors and speculation about the lineup, they’re dead wrong. From what I can see, Lily Allen—who I'd actually consider seeing—hasn't even confirmed yet, but the tickets have been on sale forever. It’s like trying to buy a ticket to a Yankees game without knowing if the roster is even set. But hey, that's just how things work in America. My home sweet home, America.

Look, I’m all about those craft brews, fine French wines, and even a bit of Anthrax if the mood strikes—if any other stuff shows up, hey, I'll take it, but I'm not hunting for it. As for Outsider art, Moby, or Lila? Honestly, they just don't do it for me.

man, I didn't realize you liked acting all high and mighty when you clearly have no clue what you're talking about ☕

Just grab it on the day of the festival—I don't see any issue there! 🤷

Besides, from what I've seen, that's pretty much how it works at other festivals too...

What, like for any World Cup or European Championship match played after the group stages? ☕

Look, man, I didn't realize you enjoyed acting so condescending when you don't actually have the facts. ☕

What’s so strange about them not releasing the schedule yet, considering they’re probably still finalizing contracts with the artists?
Besides, does the exact timing really matter that much to you? If you actually care about the music, you'll buy a ticket. It shouldn't be hard to figure out the timing once everything is posted around June 24th or 25th.

Every federation gets an extra batch of tickets for the two teams they have playing once the matchups are set🙂
but seriously, is it just me, or are you comparing the organizational setup of a World Cup—where 32 national teams play in front of a billion people watching, even if the stadium only holds 40k, and we know months in advance who’s playing where (well, except for those random schedule shifts, which they handle with the ticket thing mentioned above)—to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival? Coachella doesn't even know who's playing two or three months out, let alone when, and there's always gonna be lineup changes. And no, I'm not talking about some random opening act, I mean the actual headliners. Is it really that hard to lock them down early, at least for the big names? What happens if they all turn them down after the marketing machine has already started rolling? Yeah, right.

I mean, does the schedule even matter that much to you? If you actually care about who's playing, just buy a ticket. It isn't rocket science—you'll figure out when people are hitting the stage once everything is posted by June 24th or 25th.

The schedule matters because I'm working out of town those days. If my favorite band plays at a time I can't make it, I'm not wasting money on a ticket for that day. Everything would be fine if they didn't hike up the ticket prices every single month right up until the show—especially since the lineup keeps shifting while we're sitting here waiting for a basic schedule.

Here’s how it looks in reality;
I could've bought a ticket for $83 even though I have zero clue who's performing.
I could've bought a ticket for $117 once I had a rough idea of the lineup.
I could've bought a ticket for $150 once the lineup was actually confirmed.
I could've bought a ticket for $167 once I knew exactly who was playing and when.

And now you're telling me this is "great organization." I don't know about you, but I've always thought this kind of setup was a total mess.

On the second day, you'll definitely be able to make it whenever you want since it's a federal holiday... but as for the first day, I just can't help you out there.🤷

If someone I actually want to see isn't playing, there's no point in me dropping cash on a ticket for that day. It would be one thing if the price just crept up closer to the show date, but instead, they hike it up every single month—even though the lineup keeps shifting and the set times are still a total mystery.

In practice, it plays out like this:
I could have bought a ticket for $83, even though I have zero clue who is performing.
I could have bought a ticket for $117, once I had a vague idea of the lineup.
I could have bought a ticket for $150, when the headliners were actually confirmed.
I could have bought a ticket for $167, once both the lineup and the timing were locked in.

And now you're telling me this is "top-tier organization." Personally, I've always found this kind of setup to be pretty messy.

That’s just how it works at major festivals all over the world; if I recall correctly, about two months ago, they were already running promo sales for Lollapalooza without having announced a single artist!
You could have grabbed a pass for $250, and if you changed your mind later, you could always just sell it to someone else.

👍 That’s exactly what I thought when I heard about Kraftwerk—everything else is just extra. Plus, for a college festival like this $83, it’s definitely worth heading out to hang with the crew.

I completely agree. As soon as I heard Franz Ferdinand was playing, I went ahead and grabbed a ticket from $83. There are a few bands on the lineup I've never even heard of—but I guess I'll give them a listen, maybe I'll actually end up liking some of them!

+ 1

Honestly, I was already thinking about skipping Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival just to save some cash$117. 🙏
