Back in 2005... man, that arena was absolutely insane. I'm expecting nothing less than pure chaos this time around.

After witnessing last night's show, I can only conclude one thing... he's a man, he's a god, he's a guru! 😍

After last night's set, I gotta say—Kanye has absolutely no business being at a festival like this. It was such a massive chore listening to him while being crushed in that mosh pit that I just bailed to go chill and discover some random music I'd never even heard before.
Honestly, just let him play to the crowds while they squeeze together, and I’ll head over to the other stage where the best band from day one of Coachella was playing without half the people there.

Seun Kuti and Egypt 80 were easily my highlights from yesterday.

Oh, and the best part was when everyone headed over to the let Love in :SSSSS tent. I thought about joining, but then I heard Dred슨se playing and decided to stick around there instead—total win. It wasn't packed at first, but once the tent filled up, it was still easy enough to vibe and jump around.🤣

Anyway, as I was heading back home, I saw how insane the crowd at let Love in :SSSSS had gotten and honestly? Just thank God for the people who actually enjoy being packed in like sardines, because I'm perfectly happy with the spot I had just twenty seconds away.🙂😉

I saw Kanye live for the very first time recently, and I have to admit, the whole experience was actually pretty nerve-wracking 😳 😁 It’s clear that the svar is all part of his stage persona 🤷 🤣
And what on earth was that bit where he goes, "this is a song about great fukcin rock" 🤣

Personally, my top picks were Moonland, let Love in :SSSSS, and Into my arms 😛

I’ve been chugging these vitamin-packed juices because I have the absolute hell out of the flu—and yeah, being on my feet for four hours yesterday really made me pay for it; I spent a good chunk of time retching over the last couple of days. So long, marathon sessions in the sun. Though, I did hear that Kanye is so good you can actually enjoy him even without a beer in hand.

No thanks to Blix—with his constant noodling on the guitar and that half-asleep wandering around the stage—give me nick any day, when he’s absolutely hammering out those riffs and tearing it up until everything shakes.
Those vitamins definitely wiped you out, you have to admit.
And... where was this "bad sound" coming from? 😕 We were positioned on the left side of the soundboard and everything sounded perfectly clear and crisp. Sixth sense, I guess. 😁

I feel like people get a bit too obsessed with finding that perfect HI FI experience at live shows. For years now, my go-to strategy has been sticking to the first, second, or third row right up front. The volume is a bit more manageable there since the speakers don't really hit their full, overwhelming power until they reach a certain distance from the stage. You can hear the vocals more clearly, and the instruments tend to have this much more organic quality because you're getting that lovely blend of the actual stage sound mixed with the house audio. To me, the whole experience just feels significantly more natural and pleasant than when I'm standing directly in the line of fire between two massive speaker towers.

Just a quick reality check: The Witches did play three songs after the break, but they were on stage for half an hour before that. There were still about 6 or 7 tracks left on the setlist that they didn't get to, including Dea Dea Mellow. Honestly, Kuzma basically showed up for nothing. 😢

after a day so trash it couldn't get any worse, things actually turned around. just when I thought my 8th time seeing him might be a total snooze, I ended up in pure bliss. missed the opening set for 🙂 because of some idiot crowd crush. seriously, what a joke.

my seat was the same mediocre crap it’s been at concerts for years. "Get Ready for Love" felt weird, though—he kept looping the same word and the whole thing felt like it was falling apart. but "Hard on for Love," "Tulepo," "Midnight Man" 🙏 (sounded killer live), and even "Moonland" with all that slowing down, fading, and whispering 😁 really brought those old tracks back to life.
