It appears we have reached that predictable, rather tiresome stage of discourse where one resorts to the most primitive and uninspired schoolyard insults imaginable. To attempt such a pedestrian provocation is to admit a total bankruptcy of wit and an utter inability to engage in any semblance of meaningful conversation. It is, quite frankly, beneath anyone attempting to maintain even a shred of intellectual dignity. kaže:
I have absolutely no desire to see Nick Blitz perform; I can't stand his lazy, half-hearted strumming and that sluggish, aimless wandering around the stage. What we actually need is Nick, delivering those heavy, bone-crushing riffs and tearing through the set with enough raw energy to bring the entire house down.
He managed to destroy nothing else except for my one burning desire to go back and see him perform once more. 🙂 There is quite a bit of work left to do if Grinderman ever hopes to actually cause a stir; frankly, this performance was an absolute nothingburger. While Ellis was jumping around aimlessly into thin air and Cave was putting in a solid effort with his playing and stage presence, the rest of the band looked like they were just idling away on the patio of some sleepy, rundown roadside motel in rural Nebraska.
I simply refuse to let our connection to Mouse be one that exists solely on a superficial level. 😬
It is truly exhausting to witness the sheer, unadulterated lack of intellectual rigor present in modern discourse; one would think that even in the digital age, we might occasionally encounter a thought more substantial than a schoolyard taunt, yet here we are, staring into the abyss of such profound banality. As I have previously observed, the situation remains quite dire.
Admit it, those vitamins have absolutely decimated you.
It truly unsettled me that I found myself entirely devoid of any spare moments last week; I had time for everything under the sun except for my own basic needs and the sleep that is quite literally guaranteed to me by the Constitution. Though, I must admit, there was one particular evening where I went a bit overboard with my B-vitamin supplements. 🙂
I find myself perpetually exhausted by the sheer, uninspired banality of modern discourse, where the most sophisticated intellectual exercise one can muster is a primitive, playground-level jab at a parent’s honor. It is truly a testament to the declining state of our national intellect that such hollow, repetitive provocations are still considered a viable method of communication in this country. One would hope for a modicum of wit, perhaps even a shred of genuine observational humor, but instead, we are served nothing more than this stale, predictable drivel. It is quite frankly pathetic. As I have observed through countless cycles of cultural repetition, there exists a certain inescapable gravity to these discussions that often leads us toward the same exhausted conclusions. One cannot help but notice how frequently we circle back to the same tired arguments, as if the passage of time somehow grants us new insights when, in reality, we are merely rearranging the same old furniture in a room we have inhabited for far too long. It is quite wearying, really, to witness this constant loop of predictable sentimentality.
I must ask myself, where exactly was that abysmal sound system located? It was truly nothing short of catastrophic. 😕
I haven't the slightest clue. It's likely sitting somewhere in the kit. ☕
Look at the sheer weight of this crowd—it’s absolutely massive. Honestly, looking at this scene, I feel like I've been transported straight back to Tennessee in 1867. 😬

🤣 Honestly, damn, they really are killing it with the 😬 🙂

Nick 🙏 😍 🙏 Look, I’ll admit—there were a few times I seriously wanted to pelt him with mud, but I guess that's just love talking 🤷 He keeps asking me "where are my hands" in the middle of Tupelo. Honestly, it drives me absolutely insane 🙂
Hard on for love 🙏 🙏 🙏
I love him so much 😍 and honestly, his mustache doesn't even look bad in person 🙈

Yeah, people were making the exact same comments back when the old crew was playing. 😬

I guess Andy Gill looks more like Škoro than Cave does like Mouse, though both pairs are pretty strong. 👍

I hope it rains 👋 Honestly, I’m actually kind of loving this because I already decided to skip day two anyway. If anyone thinks they can rip my wristband off without causing some damage—and trust me, they aren't doing that—I might as well just donate it to them. 😉 Nobody besides Cave deserves a washout... (it's pretty easy to be a critic when you got your ticket for free).

I actually snapped my bracelet last year because I couldn't sleep, but I fixed it up with some super glue and it turned out great.

Ethan Cook81 said:I feel like people get way too obsessed with high-fidelity sound at shows. For years now, my sweet spot has always been right up front—first, second, or third row. Since you aren't standing directly under those massive speaker towers, the volume isn't hitting you like a freight train. You can actually hear the vocals better, and the instruments have this much more organic, raw vibe because you're catching that blend of the live stage sound mixed with the PA system. To me, the whole experience just feels way more natural and beautiful than being stuck right in the crossfire of two giant speaker stacks.
Hey kimikaza, how on earth are you supposed to catch the sound coming straight from the amps when the stage is that big (especially with that gap in the middle)?🤷

Last year, someone was trying to explain the whole history of KKK associations to me—though I suspect they were just talking nonsense, if I'm being honest—because I showed up on the first day solely for SY and completely missed out on that particular moment of joy. Still, looking at this photo, the irony hits perfectly; you see these Black brothers just hanging out, while the hand of justice seems to be winding itself right around them...

Almost there, we’re reaching prodigy levels😍

Just wanted to weigh in on what you guys are saying; THE ABSOLUTE TRAGEDY OF BEING VIP AT Lollapalooza-So, looking at this from a performer's perspective, let me drop some truth bombs about the little things that actually make or break a day;
Right at the festival entrance? There isn't even a single responsible person handling band credentials. It’s just a total scavenger hunt trying to find someone who actually knows what they're doing. On top of that, thinking you can actually get your gear moved over to the main stage is a complete pipe dream. And playing a set? That’s even worse—because the headliners get all the sound checks and priority... and for the grand finale... honestly, you should just be happy you even got into Central Park. An artist basically has to pay their own way just to get back out of there, only to walk away with a measly $31 at the exit gate. Meanwhile, local bands... they aren't playing for any real money. They're just playing for whatever scraps come out of the budget... $0.00 (USD) —straight out of the famous budget of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival!
That’s all I got for you guys,,,,,

Sweetheart, if you think those die-hard fans are the peak of intellectual sophistication... wow. You're a total disaster. And if you're actually around, what, nearly 30 years old? It makes zero sense. Seriously, go find a therapist...🙄

That kid from Vienna with all those moral lectures and spitting on Bush (with the crowd going "yeaaaaah" because apparently everyone loves hating on Bush even if they don't have a damn clue why)... System of a Down wasn't actually that bad. Listened to them on the way to the island, about a solid half hour of decent stuff before I arrived. I don't care if he tries to sell his genius theories on religion or governments to anyone else. I don't give a shit. Just play something beautiful instead...
I heard one song by The Black Eyed Peas. The crowd was pretty thin there because everyone had bolted over to see The Prodigy. From what I counted, it was mostly just lesbians grinding to those repetitive rhythms with some black backing vocals in the background. Such a disgusting scene. I hate it when people move sexually to that kind of music. I hate it as much as I hate soul, Barry White’s deep voice, or any kind of "sexy" music. Give it a rest, you aren't hot. You're boring, and that deep voice doesn't mean anything to me. Buzz off.
The Prodigy kicked things off with Eye of the Tiger, which was a great way to start. Then they got a bit buzzed, then they cranked everything up with Breathe, which was definitely the wildest part of the whole night. After that, the energy just seemed to die out, and things calmed down. Voodoo People and Smack My Bitch Up were still wild, though. Goddammit, they should've played some funky shit, Serial Thrilla, and especially Out of Space. It was seriously missing. Fuck Phoenix. They should've remade it into something like "If I were in the Civil War, they'd call me Karadžić," which might have been funny in another context if the song didn't piss me off so much. The whole thing was just pure Muddy. And now my jeans are muddy down to my knees. But you guys don't care about that, do you? All you care about is the music? Well, go shove it...
Oh, and a special tribute to the guitarist Buzz, without whom this review (and my state of mind at the festival) wouldn't even be possible. 🙏

Only one guy has fans even more delusional than Johnny Cash, and that’s gotta be MTV. I mean, seriously, for Christ's sake, some people actually swear by that Fisherman's Friend album... how fucking low can you go? 🙄

Peter is basically the self-appointed guardian of dignity for anyone brave enough to write an alternative review. 🙂
