To everyone who knew, loved, or respected Dina in any way, please accept my deepest condolences. Even though I only ever knew her here on this forum, she was someone who gave me strength during those moments of absolute despair when I was trying to support my sick husband. None of us here have it easy. Every single day, we are fighting a million different battles and clinging to tiny hopes—just to make it to tomorrow, to see Easter, to reach Christmas... I am truly shaken by Dina's passing. Rest in peace, you brave, sweet girl.

Dear Dina9,
Every single day on this forum, you were my hero... honestly, I haven't known anyone who fought this hard for this many years. You were my inspiration while I was fighting day in and day out just to keep my mother alive... I truly believed you’d pull through this time too 🙂... but at the same time, I believe you're in a better place now—somewhere where there's no more sickness...
To everyone who knew her in any capacity, I want to express my deepest condolences...
Dina9... you're still my hero...

My heart goes out to everyone because of Dean.
Look, thank goodness I’m not going through what you guys are dealing with right now, but I’m always lurking here reading your stuff. Reading your posts makes me feel for you, even if I don't—and honestly, don't want to—know exactly what it's like to be in your shoes. I loved Dean just as much as you all did. I looked up to her, just like you guys, and I truly think she was one of the most incredible and gutsy people out there. You should all take comfort in the fact that you knew her—whether it was through this screen or maybe even in person—and that you were able to support her, just like she was always sharing her wisdom and experience with you.
Sending love and good vibes to everyone. Just keep doing that good work you're doing.

Man, this news just totally crushed me...
Dina9 really was the heart and soul of this forum. I truly hope that she—just like all our dear friends we've lost to this disease—is somewhere beautiful now, far away from all the pain and suffering.
My deepest condolences go out to Dina's family, her friends, and everyone who knew her.

Dear Dina, I’m so sorry I never mentioned how much I truly enjoy reading your posts. I've always been keeping an eye out to see if you'd check in, and I really wanted to tell you how much I admire your strength—I honestly feel like I could learn a lot from you. I felt bad because every time I sat down to write this, everything I came up with sounded silly or just wasn't quite right. It never felt good enough to capture what I actually meant. Even now, it doesn't feel quite like I want it to...
My deepest condolences to your family and friends, and to you, Dina, a huge thank you!!!!

My younger brother passed away a year ago from a rare type of tumor. I still haven't fully processed it, and the weight of his memory hits me hard. He fought a brutal illness for an entire year, until it literally consumed him.
He had such an incredible will to live. He fought with everything he had until the very end, even after being told countless times that nothing could be done. Honestly? I don't think I could have been that strong.
My dear brother, you are always on my mind.
When facing malignant diseases, shouldn't we fight with every tool available? Why should we just give up when conventional medicine says it's over? I’m becoming increasingly convinced that alongside standard treatments, one should explore other options—not just anything, of course, but things like herbal supplements, Jakopvić's mushrooms, macrobiotics...

today our dear Dina9 passed away to join the angels 😢...I know this because she truly was an angel🙂. She closed her (in recent times) sad eyes and went to be with her father (that’s how she used to say it, that her dad was waiting for her, but that she still had the strength to live... until today)
.
I just have to write this.. 😢
my dear D... I am going to miss you so much—all your beautiful words, all your dreams, all that optimism you held onto amidst the sea of bad things surrounding you... it is hard, and my heart aches... I love you so much, truly...

😢 may the strength of your love live forever in the hearts of those closest to you...

I don't even know what to say about this...I joined this thread late and didn't follow everything, but I definitely noticed Dina9. And I can still hear her saying that we shouldn't pity her, but instead tell her that she can do this and that she will beat that damn monster! 👍

I haven't been able to stop crying since I read this news 🙂. Honestly, she was thinking of us so much that she even found a way to let us know about her departure...

Dina9...we all love you so much and we know you are watching over us and praying for us somewhere! 😘
You fascinated me with your positivity and we will all continue to fight those damn monsters in your name...your words will keep us on our feet. I know you are in a better world, seeing as the bastards up there had to take you into their ranks...watch over us, my dear...! 🙂

Today, our dear Dina9 has departed to join the angels 😢... I know this because she truly was an angel herself🙂. She closed those sorrowful eyes of hers—those eyes that had grown so heavy lately—and went to be with her father (that was how she used to put it, saying he was waiting for her, even though she still found the strength to carry on... until today).

I simply have to write this down... 😢
My dearest D... I am going to miss you so much; I'll miss all your beautiful words, your dreams, and that unwavering optimism you held onto despite the sea of hardships surrounding you... It is difficult, and my heart aches... I love you deeply and sincerely...

It breaks my heart that things couldn't have turned out differently, and the tears won't stop falling knowing she has closed her eyes and moved on. I can only hope that those same eyes, which carried such sadness toward the end, are now shining brightly among the angels in eternal peace. May her soul find rest! She will remain in my thoughts forever...

My deepest condolences to Dina's family and friends. This tragic news came as a complete shock to me. Dina’s posts were always bursting with optimism and such a bright, positive outlook on life—even while facing her illness. I am truly sorry.
I believe she is in a better place now, free from all pain and suffering.
Once again, my sincere condolences. Wishing her family and friends strength in the days ahead.

Dear Dina, in this space where we all share the struggles and the heavy moments caused by the illnesses of our loved ones, YOU were my inspiration through your cheerfulness and optimism... you had something special inside you. Every word you wrote seemed to radiate something that lifted us all up. I just read that you've passed away... your departure has shaken me deeply, though I know, dear, that you'll still be sending us good vibes and watching over us. It was so easy to love you. Goodbye, dear Dina... our angel. My deepest condolences to your family, relatives, and friends...

I am so incredibly sorry for the loss of your brother. 😢

The most meaningful thing you might be able to do to honor his memory—if you feel up to it, of course—is to share his story. Maybe write down what he was battling, how the diagnosis actually happened, the treatment path he took, and if you think an earlier discovery might have changed things. If there were those early symptoms—the ones that seemed small or insignificant at the time—writing them down could be so important. It might help someone else catch things sooner, potentially giving them the chance to recover, which means your brother's passing wouldn't feel quite so senseless...

If you’ve already shared some of this somewhere else, please, do post a link...
