Breath test results: anyone had experience with this?

I’m dealing with some stomach issues. My doctor wants me to get a breath test done, so I’m trying to figure out where I can actually go for one and which places won't absolutely fleece me on the price. I'm based in Washington, D.C., by the way. If anyone has any leads or info, I’d really appreciate it. It’s kind of urgent. Thanks!

You can find one over in Beverly Hills. It’ll run you about $67 (well, actually, four years ago it was closer to 🙂) and you should set aside roughly an hour for the whole thing.
That’s not entirely accurate. My gastroenterologist wouldn't even validate the test result, despite me testing positive and having to undergo a gastroscopy.😲

I went through the exact same thing while I was down in Miami $67. Honestly, the test seems pretty solid, but at the end of the day, it all just comes down to whether or not you actually have the bacteria or not. It’s binary, really.

That is actually a test for H. pylori. I went through it myself and my results came back around $100, if I recall correctly. I had the procedure done at Mayo Clinic since they serve as the specialized center for H. pylori testing. Essentially, you just drink a glass of juice and then blow into a balloon after about 60 minutes...
