Honestly, I can't help but feel that they have truly gone overboard with these red flags being thrown for every little thing lately 🤦

Is Ferrari about to face another Monaco situation?
Both of these tracks are just so incredibly narrow...

I mean, look at everyone walking around with masks on just because of some minor cold... if they're that paranoid, you know they’re going to throw a red flag every single time someone pulls out of their pit box.

This is going to be just like Monaco. Qualifying is going to decide the winner, there'll be some chaos at the start because the track is so narrow, probably a safety car in the first lap, and then it’s just a procession until the end.

Could we perhaps request a heavy downpour for the upcoming weekend? 🙂

If the start-finish straight were just a little longer, or if there was one more sweeping turn before the line, this would easily be in my top three tracks on the calendar.

It all unfolded right at the moment they waved the red flag. I find myself doubting whether they will even bother looking into it, though I suppose one can never be entirely certain about these things. I just finished reviewing the footage from Max’s onboard camera, and honestly, everything looks perfectly clean. As soon as he caught sight of that red light on the gantry, he immediately eased off the throttle.

I’d hand down a penalty myself. The team shares the blame here if they didn't give him a heads-up beforehand, especially since Max is an integral part of the crew.
I just saw a comment over on ESPN arguing that there shouldn't be a penalty because Max was busy in the qualifying simulation while Stroll was on his out lap, but honestly, that logic doesn't hold water.

Horner did notify him just a few seconds after the red flag was thrown, but can we really expect them to provide notification within the exact same millisecond? It isn't as if there was some warning light flashing on the dashboard earlier. As soon as he saw that red light on the signal, he hit the brakes immediately. Is it not perfectly reasonable to conclude that penalizing him here simply makes no sense at all?

Nah, honestly, how could anyone be, considering he’s wrestling a car that’s basically a death trap on wheels, and let’s be real, even someone like Schumacher wasn't pulling off miracle saves every single weekend just because he was some kind of driving god.

So, the news just dropped—he’s under investigation for allegedly cutting under the red flags, and now he’s been hauled in to face the judges. Just another day in the circus.

Norris got hit with a draconian penalty in Baku just because he didn't dive into the pits the split second that red flag popped up. You have to allow for some reaction time once the info actually hits the driver—it’s not instant telepathy. If the notification is late, you penalize the crew, not the guy behind the wheel.

Looks like they were waving blue flags right as Stroll was passing by—classic.

How do you penalize a team without them just repeating the same mistakes? A fine? That doesn't mean much in this sport.
In my eyes, the team and the driver are one and the same.
