He just said he doesn't know what it is. I honestly thought it was just some common cold thing—you know, things women deal with all the time, like UTIs or whatever—but I didn't really get the male side of it until I spent hours reading up on it online. Now I know that stinging sensation in men usually points to an STI. He’s been faithful to me, and I trust him. He should have the test results tomorrow. I’m mostly here because I want to understand what they're actually looking for in that swab. What kind of bacteria are they testing for? Can that stinging be caused by anything other than an STI? And is it possible this is something else entirely, or maybe something one of us has been carrying around for a while that just suddenly flared up if the results come back positive for something like chlamydia?
