Hi everyone,

My doctor just put me on an iron supplement because my levels were running low.
I happened to read somewhere that these can actually stain your teeth—which sounds like a nightmare—so I was wondering if it’s okay to just take it in pill form instead? I’d love to save my smile if I can. Thanks!

I’ve used these quite a few times myself, and my only real trick was making sure I brushed my teeth right after eating them, or just popping a piece of gum if I was out and about, which helped me avoid any staining issues. I actually really enjoy their flavor; there's something about it that reminds me of coffee. If you find you aren't a fan, maybe try taking some Spirulina—the kind you have in tablets or powder—since it's such a great natural antioxidant and packed with iron.

I’ve had my fair share of it too. My doctor actually told me straight up that I could just take it with water, just like any other pill.

Thanks, ladies—I think I’ll just take it like a pill myself.
Best,
