Damn. That one is easily one of my favorites so far, right up there with touch me i ’ m Going to Scream PT and Librarian.

Honestly, Highly Suspicious is stuck on loop in my head—it’s incredible. I just hope I don't grow tired of it before the full album actually drops... though, who knows? It's entirely possible they might decide to rearrange the whole thing during the studio sessions...🤷

Stumbled onto this bit of madness and this, honestly such a smooth take on 🙂

They covered those tracks ages ago—I'm talking about Berlin's "taka my Breath Away" and the Pet Shop Boys' "West end Girls." 🤣

My Morning Jacket has released the best album of their career, I suppose. Though, it really only starts with the fourth track; they seemed to be joking around with the first three. 😲 I haven't heard such a solid piece of Americana roots-rock since Anodyne. Does anyone know when the next flight or train is scheduled?

I can't quite recall the name, but they play, shout "woo!" right before the chorus, and layer those "ooooo" backing vocals under massive amounts of reverb. They have one track reminiscent of "Everybody's Talkin'" and another that sounds like a budget version of The Flaming Lips. 😍 I suppose that Z track never quite clicked for me. As for this one, upon first listen...

Oh, my apologies—there is one truly dreadful group out there—The Remnants—they are simply awful. 😬 But, honestly, the album itself is quite lovely. 😍

It sounds like Paul Simon trying to cover Carpenters.

I don't know, the whole vibe feels too indecisive. Like, "let's throw in some disco, some country, a little old Motown, maybe some Fleet Foxes, and just see what sticks."

For me, Two Halves is currently the best. It has been on repeat for about twenty minutes now. Maybe one day we could head over to your backyard for some bourbon and dance barefoot to the new Fleet Foxes!

I am not entirely certain, but the whole thing feels somewhat aimless to me—as if they decided to just mix a little disco, some country, a bit of old Fleet Foxes, and maybe some Fleetwood Mac together, then just record it and call it a day.

Not quite, though the way the vocals kick in on "Sec Walkin'" does give off that kind of vibe..

Personally, I think it is quite good that at least ten tracks landed for me; their earlier albums always seemed to have much more filler...

But my real point was simply this: the album is quintessentially Fleet Foxes and absolutely beautiful. It seems she likely anticipated exactly how a new MMJ record would sound😍

I suppose you were likely advertising that during the late-night hours, back when I was probably in a state where I might have offered you a dog biscuit and asked Lars how things had been going at his job lately... so it isn't entirely surprising that those Fleet Foxes slipped right past me.🙂
