The only thing you can really ask for is some minor tweaks to the handle...

For example, Susan Roberts could try something like susanroberts, SusanR, or just Susan.

I actually picked this handle about four years ago on a total whim without giving it much thought, but I just realized there are actually a few other people out there using variations of it,
so now I'm at a bit of a crossroads—
do you think it would work if I just invented a brand-new word that shares the same root? Would that count as making it my own?😁

It counts... just write out what you're thinking and they'll tell you if it's okay or not.

Reach out to the admin, the moderators, or even the site owners... maybe they'll actually show some mercy

There’s no room for sentimentality here, just clear rules. Minor aesthetic tweaks to a username are fine, but a complete overhaul is out of the question.
