Bruce Lee, Tiger Woods, and a few Jackie Chan flicks (not all of them 😁)...
Mostly just those Eastern action movies. Western fight scenes? Honestly, they’re pretty pathetic. Hardly any of them actually hold up, maybe The Matrix if you're lucky. 🙂

I have to say, that duel between Obi-Wan and Vader in the third installment of Star Wars... that confrontation on Mustafar... was absolutely legendary.

When Edward Norton nearly beats that poor blue-haired guy to death in Fight Club—man, that scene is absolutely brutal!

Speaking of Norton, that scene where he plays the Nazi in Generation X is legendary. He tells the guy to open his mouth and bite down on the curb before just absolutely leveling him with a kick to the head... pure gold.

Oh, totally brutal! Even though you don't actually see the impact, I still got goosebumps just watching it. 🙏

Every single fight scene in Oldboy is just masterfully shot. I live for that raw, gritty energy—where you actually feel every hit land on the body and see people getting tossed around without it looking like they're being yanked by a visible wire.

That’s why I find Matrix a little bit brainless and just... off when it comes to the combat. Don't even get me started on House of Flying Daggers, Kill Bill, or any of those other flicks where the entire point of the movie is the fighting. If the action sucks, the whole thing falls apart.

Which is exactly why Jackie Chan and Tony Jaa are way ahead of everyone else for me.

I personally love that raw, visceral quality—where you actually feel every strike landing on the opponent's body, and when people are sent flying across the room, it's because of pure impact, not some hidden wire pulling them around.

That’s exactly why I find *The Matrix* a bit underwhelming and frankly strange when it comes to its combat sequences. And don't even get me started on *House of Flying Daggers*, *Kill Bill*, or any other films where the entire purpose of the movie is the choreography—only for the action to fall flat.

In my book, Jackie Chan and Tony Jaa stand far above everyone else.

🙂 You might have forgotten about Hero and Tiger and the dragon.

The stuff they’re filming these days is total garbage. All that Tiger and dragon nonsense—there's zero grit left in it. 🙂

The best fights are still in Once Were Warriors.

Whether it's when Jack Heck beats that guy over a boxing match, or when he goes after his wife...

or even that final showdown where he takes out Uncle Bully 😲, it just makes you want to cover your eyes and hide.

That scene from Way of the Dragon where Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris go at it in that legendary showdown http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLO1YIWQuXE—plus the part where Bruce Lee absolutely dominates that Japanese school in Fists of Fury http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5q9kYKtvYU0—and even that moment when he takes down that Russ guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_AJTgxBqpg

Irreversible—that moment when he finally corners that absolute animal with the fire extinguisher, the one who went after Monica... just brutal...😉

Absolutely... when Borati burst into the room while his buddy (or whatever he was to him🤔) was busy with Pamela... he wasn't exactly thrilled about the situation. 🙂

Lethal Weapon 4 ends with that Chinese actor 🙏
It’s especially great when 😍Gibson grabs him by that bar and carries him away while the guy keeps fighting back.

Gentlemen—are we really talking about Rocky, Jean-Claude Van Damme, or Steven Seagal? Or perhaps Gladiator and L.A. Confidential? Good grief...😘 😲

Man, even when Gibson grabs him by that bar and starts hauling him away—and this guy just keeps talking back—it's honestly gold! 😍

That scene was honestly such a tear-jerker—but let’s be real for a second—it was also pretty ridiculous! If Jet Li actually managed to take down those guys that easily, they would have been out of business decades ago.

wiredranger30 said:In Goodfellas, when Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro corner that guy who insulted Pesci—the camera just stays locked on De Niro’s face while you hear those dull, sickening thuds of a shoe hitting bone. Brutal. 🙏 🙏 🙏
It's the same vibe in Donnie Brasco during that bathroom scene where they take out the guy who insisted on taking his shoes off. They absolutely wreck him—one even grabs a trash can to finish the job. Just pure, unadulterated violence. 🤣 🙏 🙏

When Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro corner that guy in the bar
"get your shoeshine kit"
the way they crushed him 😬
