So, basically, there's this skin tearing—mucosa, who knows what else—right between the urethra and the anus, and it burns like crazy whenever I pee for a day or two until it finally heals. But it never really gets a chance to mend because we’re having sex every couple of days or so. It’s honestly kind of a nightmare. Why does this keep happening to me? Has anyone else dealt with something similar? It wasn't always an issue before.

I guess you might be using a soap that's a bit too harsh; your skin looks pretty dry there.
Maybe try something a little more gentle..

Maybe you could even try using a skin cream or moisturizer to help keep her skin flexible.

It could be some kind of fungus, too.
Get outta here!

And seriously, watch what you're using to wash. Avoid those cheap shower gels at all costs. Just stick to water or go grab a specific intimate wash from Target.

Exactly. Honestly, plain water or something like Hygieia is the way to go... even other brands can mess with your pH levels. You can just grab some Hygieia at CVS or Walgreens. I’ve never had any issues myself since I've used it forever, but what you're going through isn't normal. You should probably hit up a gynecologist ASAP... they'll get to the bottom of it quickly. It could even be an allergy to latex in condoms.🙂

If it’s a fungal thing like I suspect, try some Nystatin cream. If it’s just irritation, stick with Aloe Vera, but if it looks like eczema, dab on some hydrocortisone and go see a doctor.
Just wash with lukewarm water.
It’s usually just Candida albicans—that fungus absolutely loves those spots (honestly, a quick rinse with a mild baking soda and water solution helps).

It's usually Candida, a fungus that thrives in those conditions (a mild baking soda rinse might help)

And honestly, if you try any of that without seeing a specialist at the Mayo Clinic... you're asking for trouble. You might end up making the wound worse with the wrong cream, which means saying goodbye to sex for a month while things heal.👎

Take it from someone who actually gets this—ignoring a problem is way more dangerous than dealing with it.
It’s not always easy, Gin.
I mean, what were women even doing before doctors and tampons existed? Just letting things run wild?
Alright, let's not get carried away.

It's not always about charging ahead.

Don't overstate it.

Think about it... I take certain meds on my own sometimes because I know what I'm doing, but she has no idea what's going on with her body. She could pick the wrong thing or mix everything up. You can't judge a book by its cover. Do you really want that weight on your conscience if things go south? Imagine if she happened to be pregnant and took something that ends up harming the baby... most of those drugs aren't safe. I had to say something because this isn't harmless.

You can't always just wing it.

Give me a break.

Respect!

Look, honey, you’ve got enough bad bacteria down there to make a gallon of bleach quit trying!

Don't go overboard now.

Look, I get that you might be an expert on this because you deal with it personally, but I know a thing or two too, and I don't have these issues... so I'm sticking to my guns here: don't just start popping meds without a doctor's okay.
By the way, a period isn't the same thing as a yeast infection or inflammation...😵

That’s exactly why she’s asking—she probably has a good reason for avoiding "Ginić."
Everything I brought up is totally fine, except for the cortisone part, where I mentioned you really ought to check in with a doctor first.
Pusek, feel free to ask away; I know when things are getting serious.

Girl, you have so many bad bacteria going on right now that even industrial-strength bleach wouldn't stand a chance at cleaning them all out in one go!

Look, please don't start any fights on my account. I know you guys mean well. I'm not some clueless girl who's just going to go out and try every single thing you suggest, so feel free to dump all your advice and personal experiences here.
It’s not like I’m avoiding the OB-GYN or anything, but there’s a month-long wait just to get an appointment. I already have a routine checkup scheduled for early July anyway, so if things don't improve by then...
I used to deal with yeast infections, so I once grabbed some Johnson & Johnson cream and applied it myself. But back then, it wasn't this stinging sensation I'm feeling now—it was more of an itch around the vaginal opening and near the clitoris. It didn't sting, just itched. To be honest, I never really thought this could be a yeast infection. Maybe it's bacteria? Seems more likely.
Whenever the stinging gets bad, I just use some baby ointment, which helps a little bit.
Anyone got any other tips?

Yeah, I guess I just wash down there with some Pantene intimate wash. I don't really know what the pH level is or anything, but if it’s actually made for that purpose, it should be fine, I suppose. Though, honestly, you probably shouldn't need much else anyway.

It sounds like you might be dealing with a yeast infection...

Grab some Johnson & Johnson cream or vaginal suppositories at the pharmacy and start using those. You should also make an appointment with your gynecologist...☕

I hadn't even considered a fungal infection... though I suppose it’s possible.
I've noticed this happening before whenever things get a little too intense physically; that sensitive skin just gets irritated.
My partner lives quite a distance away, so when we finally get together, we tend to make up for lost time, and sometimes that frequency comes with its own set of side effects.
