Jamie Kim said:Everyone’s bashing B&L, but they work fine for me. I haven't really tried anything else... I just use the quarterly Verizon ones from B&L and honestly, I don't even feel them. Sometimes I'll go to bed at night and have to get back up because I totally forgot I was still wearing them.

Same here. 🙂

What? A specialized contact lens clinic? It’s a dedicated department specifically for people who wear contacts, located right within the hospital. Here in Cincinnati, they have one, and I believe they have them in Columbus and Chicago too, though I couldn't say for sure about other cities. They perform specific tests to determine which type of lens fits your eye perfectly, and you can even order them directly through them. Essentially, they handle all those niche contact lens examinations that a standard optometrist might not provide.
Back when I was living in a much smaller town, they didn't have a specialized unit like that at the local hospital. I had to go to a regular optometrist for my exams. I actually wasn't even allowed to wear my glasses for two days before an appointment just so my eyes could adjust! They would simply give me a general prescription that applied to both my glasses and my contacts. There were absolutely no specialized tests or high-tech equipment like the stuff they have in a dedicated clinic...
