honestly, I'd much rather see actual, even if faded, rockers than those pop-rock sellouts (Interpol, Kaiser Chiefs...)

Back in the eighties, we were always bitching about how there weren't any decent shows coming through, just a bunch of washed-up veterans from the sixties playing the circuit.
Now look at us, acting all hyped because Neubateni, Pere Ubu, SY, Pearl Jam, Tuxedomoon, and the Buzzcocks are hitting the road...

I mean, for real, most of these guys we’re celebrating (don't even get me started on Dollse or MC5) have been on stage way longer than Alvin Lee or Wishbone Ash ever were when they played in New York City back in the day.
So, what actually changed, seriously, besides the name of the country?

You can catch the Beastie Boys at Lollapalooza on July 15th—that's right in your backyard. Go check it out. Pretty sure tickets aren't even that pricey.

Jack would much rather catch an FBI show. They've got a gig coming up on August 25th somewhere in the USA... 🙂 My biggest fear is that the new album is going to be a total dud. 🙂 But honestly? I’d still kill to see them live.
