northerntrucker2 said:(...) though it’s not exactly a massive upgrade compared to last year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. 🤷

Give it two or three weeks. We'll both be laughing at this post...

... by then, basically the whole lineup will be out anyway.

Man, I would give anything if the Foo Fighters would play here...

Okay, but he’s not even the headliner. Which means there’s gotta be some actually decent band playing later...

I have to say, I’m not exactly feeling the hype regarding Zelenskyy’s lineup this year. Personally, I was really hoping to just kick back on the grass and soak up those classic Woodstock vibes. Honestly, they need to book at least one massive headliner who makes the trip worth my while.

Honestly, it’s kind of pointless right now 🤷 I feel like most people are just going for the exact same reasons they head out to Coachella... ☕

Word!☕

By the way, people usually hit up Coachella during the summer when work isn't too crazy or when everyone's finally on vacation—it's budget-friendly and lasts an entire week. Plus, it's nowhere near NYC, so I don't think the reason you're bringing up is really something worth getting worked up about, right?😁

Honestly, I’m beyond happy with them, especially given how good their series has been lately. I really have to hand it to the organizers—last year was an absolute blast, though I unfortunately couldn't make it out this time. Next year, I’ll be making sure my reservation is locked in immediately, no questions asked. As for the lineup? It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but personally, I think it's spot on. Truly excellent.

Well, I don't recall ever claiming there wouldn't be stuff on here that isn't quite my vibe. My whole point was really just about the artists who have been announced up to this point, you know? ☕
And, I mean, I suppose I am hoping that we'll find ourselves laughing about this in a little while.

I’m starting to get the distinct feeling that this year is going to be a complete wash 🤷
Honestly, I’m mostly just kicking myself because last year I spent a fortune hesitating back and forth, 🙄 and in the end, I didn't even go 😢
But you know what? I won't regret it for a second!!! 🙂 Never. :kri: 🙂

And why should I give a damn about someone else's reasons? 😛

Oh, please. 😠 At least you didn't condemn James Brown to an early grave by saying, "I should probably catch his show, he'll be dead soon anyway," and then staying home. 😢

Seriously, if they don't bring out some REM or the Foo Fighters, then as far as I'm concerned, the whole festival is a total bust. 😁

Essentially, we can expect a few middle-of-the-road bands to take the stage at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and then simply vanish without leaving a legacy. This might include:

THE WOMBATS
THE HIVES
KATE NASH
GAVIN DEGRAW
FICTION PLANE
COUNTING CROWS
KAISER CHIEFS
EDITORS
KT TUNSTALL
BAD RELIGION
GROOVE ARMADA
JUSTICE
INCUBUS
FLOGGING MOLLY
ALTER BRIDGE

I am unsure which of these fall within our specific scope here.
However, I suspect many of them are just one-hit wonders; we really need to see if they have anything else on their upcoming schedules.

Honestly, any one of these three acts would be worth every single penny. If they were on the bill, the lineup would have been significantly better than what we saw last year.😁

I’d probably go for The Hives and Editors... maybe throw in some Flogging Molly just for the vibe. But honestly? If I’m being real, my ideal scenario would just be getting drunk in the sun listening to Nick Cave. Though, if we're talking about picking sides in a fight, I am definitely still rooting for India!!😁😁
