Can anyone give me their honest take on Spirulina?
Does anyone have recommendations on which brand I should look for, or does it really not matter which one I pick?

Does anyone have a specific brand they swear by, or does it honestly not matter which one you pick up?

What exactly is it?

Spirulina is basically this tiny spiral-shaped algae—that’s actually how it got its name. It’s packed with stuff like easy-to-digest proteins, essential amino acids, vitamins B and E, iron, selenium, and it's an awesome source of GLA. It’s usually recommended for athletes, nursing moms, or women who are pregnant. You can grab it in either powder or tablet form. I personally started taking it because I'm trying to get ready to start a family. My only real hesitation is that since it's so high in protein, I have this nagging feeling it might cause some weight gain.

I’ve been taking it in pill form. Honestly? I can tell you right now—it’s the real deal.

Just hit up a decent health food store... like Whole Foods or something.

You can worry about the calories if you want, but I’ve been using it forever and haven't gained an ounce.

You can pick it up at most pharmacies, just watch out for the instant versions—some of those imported brands aren't worth it. I stick to the powder since swallowing pills isn't my thing.

And what’s the actual motivation here—are you looking to start taking it, or just asking out of curiosity?

Bringing this thread back to the top of the feed. 😁

I was wondering if anyone here has tried incorporating Spirulina into their daily routine specifically to give their immune system a little extra boost? I’d love to hear about your personal experiences—did you notice a real difference in how you felt? Also, if you have a go-to brand that you trust for quality, please let me know! 🙂
