Given how they've been playing lately, I seriously doubt there isn't an American water polo fan out there who hasn't absolutely torn Rudic and Bukic to pieces over the last few years.

Let’s be real here—Rudic has only just realized he can't go on a total youth movement like he did back in Belgrade. He had a serious string of mistakes there that he's clearly feeling now.
I have to give credit where it’s due regarding his form during this World Cup—today was absolutely his win. The squad is really starting to find its rhythm game after game, and honestly, a world title feels closer right now than it ever has before.

Come on, let's not act all high and mighty now. We've been taking losses from them pretty much every year for the last decade.

I mean, I don't know how many of those Mexican comments you guys actually read before the World Cup kicked off, but man, they were so incredibly convinced they were the best of the bunch. They were already calling foul before the first game even started! They were claiming the whole thing was rigged in favor of the Canadians, basically saying the bracket gave them a total free pass to the finals while everyone else would be too exhausted to compete. Just pure delusion, right?
It’s honestly wild how they go looking for someone—anyone—to blame for losing. I just saw someone online arguing that they actually lost because of bad luck, since they hit the post three times. Like, oh yeah, clearly the universe just didn't want them to win!
