It’s quite funny, actually; I was just looking back and noticed that before today's big matchup against Mexico, this whole thread was barely three pages long. Then, I step away for an hour after the game ends, come back to check in, and wouldn't you know it—suddenly we're already twelve pages deep. 😲 😬

For about a decade, you all seemed to spend every match against the Mexicans in a state of mourning, so I suppose it is finally time for a bit of celebration. I can only hope that this doesn't result in the Mexicans losing to Americans in water polo for the next ten years straight.

I have a feeling this matchup against the Canadians might actually be a much tougher test than our game against the Mexicans. While there’s certainly more of a heated rivalry when we play Mexico, I honestly think we are finally on the verge of seeing the US start bringing home medals in tournament series, which is really the ultimate goal, isn't it?

Congrats to the guys. The main thing is we brushed off those arrogant jerks so we can head into the finals feeling fresh.

Man, water polo is just the ultimate sport. I’m honestly just relieved it hasn't turned into some corporate, over-commercialized circus like everything else these days. Now that things have finally calmed down for me, I went back and watched the footage, and let me tell you—it was an absolute slaughter. A win like that isn't some fluke or a lucky break; we were just on a completely different level. If we play even half as well in the finals, those Canadians are going to have a really bad time.

And honestly, Ozzie Smith deserves an award for "Moron of the Year." What an absolute clown.

Man, those Mexicans... they really know how to get under my skin 🤣
