Standard movies usually run at 24 fps, though some of those newer 3D blockbusters, like the hobbit, have versions at 48 fps to make the movement look smoother and more natural.
Looks like everyone is starting to push for a 60 fps upgrade now.

What a mindless movie. It’s just endless sobbing over Peet, who wouldn't even be interesting to his own mother. A total waste of time. Honestly, someone should have given her a reality check.

Fuj! What a total waste of time. Honestly, just gross. The second movie was actually solid, so I went in expecting this one to be at least decent, but instead, it’s even worse than the first one. 😵

Honestly, I didn't notice much difference between these Games movies and anything else, whereas with the hobbit, you can really tell there's a gap, and it's pretty huge 🤷

Look, I get it—some people find all the crying and whining super annoying, but honestly? That scene where she just breaks down because she’s terrified of losing both of them? It actually hit me right in the feels. Like, okay, maybe I got a little misty-eyed there. She absolutely nailed that performance.

I'm a huge fan of the books.

They really shouldn't have split the third part up.
The movie gets pretty exhausting at times and you just find yourself waiting for... SOMETHING. There's way too much pathetic behavior. I don't think Jennifer can really pull it off.
She's just not great at those crying or hysterical scenes.
Same goes for the action stuff (like when they say, "if we burn, you are burning with us.")
It was honestly kind of awkward to watch.
I think she's better in the parts where she doesn't talk and just moves through the scenes.

The film is slow, tedious, and honestly a bit of a drag. Even for a fan.

The kid playing Peet is great again here.

An absolutely dreadful film. The plot is just pathetic—it’s so incredibly dry and banal that you’ll find yourself nodding off halfway through—and the acting? Well, that was even worse. Some of the actors performed so poorly that I honestly got the impression they were being coerced into appearing in this thing; it felt as though someone was holding a gun to their heads the moment they stepped onto the set just to force them to finish their scenes. Truly, truly desperate acting.

I watched it this past Saturday and wasn't particularly impressed. Splitting the third installment felt unnecessary. That said, Peet was excellent.

You were absolutely right—those 60 images... they don't stand out at all. As for the movie itself... well, let's just say it's nothing to write home about. It passes the time, I suppose. There are a few clever moments here and there, and everyone is just strikingly beautiful—especially the women and that tall, dark actor following her around... They are so impossibly attractive that it almost feels comical. Perfectly groomed and polished right in the middle of an apocalypse. Truly...
There are quite a lot of women in this film. They’ve essentially flipped the power dynamics on their head. In most movies, you see the ratio leaning heavily toward men, but here, the influence shifts through the female characters, and many of the men feel like they are merely filling out the background... That is perhaps the only truly engaging element of the entire narrative, this experimentation with gender roles...

Yeah, that really bugged me too.

Say what you want, but to me, Jennifer—who plays Katniss—is just broken. She's been starving since the games, she isn't eating anything because of the depression, and food supplies are super limited, maybe like 13 ounces per serving (if I recall the book correctly). She looks huge. ☕

Honestly, the last movie felt like it was stretched out thinner than a piece of cheap gum—just way too much filler. I’ve got no idea how I'm gonna feel about this one, especially since they decided to drag the whole thing out into two parts... kind of a bummer. :/

I guess the last installment was probably the best one in the series so far. 🙂

The crew and I are heading to the theater this Wednesday, and I'm genuinely curious to see how it lands with me.
I haven't read the books yet, though I do plan to dive into them eventually. Hopefully, I'll still feel that way after Tuesday night's screening.

Good grief, what kind of garbage is this movie? Is the public really that mindless to pull in millions at the box office for this? I just want to know who is pushing Jennifer when she already has an Academy Award 🤦

The film stays remarkably faithful to the book's actual sentence structure; honestly, every single change they made was both clever and imaginative. Sure, the entire third book is a bit of a slog—it’s massive, and there's no denying it really should have been split into two separate movies.
Who actually wants to sit through a botched adaptation anyway? If you want to see how to absolutely ruin a story, just go watch how they handled the Hobbit or Game of Thrones.
That scene at the dam with the loggers? Absolutely Epic. And then there are those tiny details that make it work: the slate Haymitch writes on, Cinna's sketches and his message, the fact that they didn't cut Annie out of the plot, the cat, Hanging Tree, Finnick's backstory regarding Snow... even showing President Snow's granddaughter so we aren't left wondering who she is at the end when things... 😉I'm actually annoyed they never showed Haymitch's victory in the Games; it would have been incredible and would have added so much more depth to his character, but fine, whatever.
