Hey everyone. I need a little help here.

I swim three times a week for about an hour per session 1.9 miles, and lately, I've been getting into stair climbing. I live in an 18-story high-rise, and honestly, sprinting up stairs is way more fun than running on flat ground. I was never really a fan of distance running anyway.

Does anyone actually know much about this sport? Everything I’ve dug up online—mostly foreign sites, since there isn't much local info out here 😢—is just race schedules. I can't find a single decent tutorial, basic guidelines, or a list of dos and don'ts like you see for standard running.

To get to the point: does anyone know where I can learn more about stair climbing? Maybe someone in the US who specializes in it, or anything else that might give me an edge?

Thanks!

You should probably hit up the ESPN forums to ask about trail running and specific training plans for it...

Look, I’ll be the first to admit that while I spend my days coaching track and field, I’m certainly no expert when it comes to the specific nuances of stair climbing
