Quick question for all my fellow movie buffs and film scholars out there... looking back over the last decade or so in the States, across the whole country... My absolute favorite has to be Paskaljević's "Gunpowder." By the way, I'd love to hear what everyone else thought if you've had a chance to see it...

Everyone above him—is absolutely finished. After he's done, there’s nothing left but gunpowder.

Who’s singing over there? — no context provided;
A North American spy — maybe not as much as a cinematic feat, but more as a top-tier script that even the most uninspired director couldn't ruin;
Do you remember Dolly Bell?

"Scarface" — hands down my number one.
"The Godfather" — a very close second.
"Gunpowder," "Reservoir Dogs," and "Goodfellas" make up my top tier.

I’d have to agree—those first two are easily in my all-time top tier, though he did mention they were made within the last decade or so...😎>

Underground. This movie holds its own against any Hollywood blockbuster. It’s easily one of the greatest cinematic moments from outside the US.

Apologies for the kung-fu comparison. It’s just a simple little film that totally blew me away.

There’s more where that came from, but those two were the first ones that popped into my head.

I think ten years is being a bit conservative! 😕
For me, some of the absolute best classics from that era have to be: Samo ljudi, Birch, smallpox, collection center.
