How do I change my username?

So, I was just thinking about how someone actually goes about changing their handle from unknown to Omega Phoenix. And it apparently happened quite recently, just earlier this year. It’s an interesting move. Quite sudden, really. 😕

Haha, I really wanted the username Nick Mafia...But oh well, I guess it's gone. Not like I'm going to sit here and cry about it though...

How can you say names can't be changed when people are getting their usernames swapped out all the time? There have already been several cases like that... and we aren't just talking about a simple case of capitalization here.

Why doesn't anyone get that things aren't going to change (unless the admins step up)!

Hey, is there any way to change the thread title?

When I first kicked this thing off, I was really trying to target house painters—but honestly, hardly any of them have popped up yet.

Since the whole thing has basically turned into a general advice hub, it’d look way cleaner if we just renamed it "House Painting Services."

Anyway, if it's possible, that would be awesome—if not, no biggie!

You can actually change the thread title yourself just by double-clicking on it in the topic list ☕ but honestly, you can only do that for a little while after you first post it. If the option doesn't show up for you, just reach out to the moderator for that specific subforum and ask them to swap it out for you.

The double-click thing only works if you're a moderator. Regular users can't change thread titles at all. 🙂
