Pirates of the Caribbean: Part 1 or 2?

Part one hits because of the depth, plus it’s actually decent entertainment, but the second half? Total disaster. A complete waste of two and a half hours...
It wasn't even fun. The plot is hollow, the villains are weak, and the jokes are way more bottom-shelf than anything in the first part...not even going to list the rest.

I’d definitely go with the first one. But honestly, you really need to sit down and watch the second part a few times—maybe even two or three passes—to actually catch what's happening. There’s a mountain of clever details buried in there that you'll completely miss on a first viewing. Personally, I don't think the sequel is nearly as bad as everyone seems to love hating on it.

I think I actually preferred the first part, just by a hair. To me, the second one felt a little bit slower, if I'm being honest. Still, I'm definitely on track to have the second part catch up to the first in terms of view counts soon enough.

I haven't even checked out a single episode yet. Honestly, that kind of stuff just isn't really my thing... though, I guess I might give it a look eventually...

😳 😳 😬 I caught the second installment while I was out in San Francisco, and honestly, the vibe and the way they handled things there just wasn't hitting the mark.
I can't say the movie itself was much better, either.

The first one is definitely my pick. I think his sense of humor is just better, and he isn't nearly as hard to watch as the other guy. 🙂

The second one has some lines that honestly sound like they belong in a better movie, but man, there are so many gaps where people are just yawning. I know, I know—you aren't supposed to yawn when Johnny Depp is on screen 😁—but it’s still pretty bad. Plus, the plot feels kind of thin and those gross scenes are just too much. It doesn't even come close to the first one.

I actually managed to sit through it twice! But honestly, I had to bail on the second attempt after just 20 minutes... It’s definitely a one-and-done kind of movie. You really have to stick to the first viewing if you want the full experience, otherwise, what's the point?

The first installment was quite impressive. The banter between the characters kept things lively, and there was a genuine sense of tension throughout.
The second part, however, was complete garbage. If it were up to me, I would have handled the direction much differently. Do you remember that scene where Captain Jack and some soldier are dueling inside a watermill that’s barreling through fields and forests?🤣 The sequel was clearly produced solely to chase a paycheck.

That movie was a total disaster.

I found the first half absolutely captivating (especially those skeletal remains under the moonlight), and while the second part was decent enough, I was genuinely pleased to see the character from the opening act make an appearance again.

I honestly think both of them are pretty wonderful, though I suppose the first one might be a bit better, if you ask me!
