Where can I find some legit training here in Washington, D.C.—maybe boxing or Muay Thai—where I can pull at least 3 or 4 sessions a week? Been checking out a few spots lately and honestly... they all feel kind of amateur hour. If anyone knows a place that actually pushes you and won't go easy on the workouts, let me know... would really appreciate it!
e oh, and if it doesn't break the bank—ideally under $200—that'd be even better

Regarding Muay Thai http://www.profightstore.com/content...=check this out
For an ultimate training camp, should I go with Stip or Wrebox from this forum? Or will they just jump in and answer themselves?
Where are you based? How much are you willing to travel for training sessions? That’s a huge factor when you're hunting for the right gym recommendation.

Look, I'm hanging around the Quartic area—so anything nearby is fine. Honestly, I wouldn't mind heading over to Brooklyn or even Queens... just as long as they actually know what they're doing and aren't charging an arm and a leg.🙂 I'm looking to get started with some boxing, so if anyone knows a solid gym...

There are a few clubs in the area. I train at a Thai boxing gym that’s pretty close to you. You've also got Quartic nearby, plus Dennis Survival Jiu Jitsu and a boxing gym sharing the same space, though I doubt their rates are exactly budget-friendly $67

I know all about that Jiu Jitsu stuff, but man, the price tag is killer—it’s sitting somewhere around... $77 If I'm counting right—and that's only two more hour-long sessions a week—it's a bit light... barely enough to make a dent...

Go three times a week,$50 and you'll be hitting the best Muay Thai in the US. Does that work for you?

What do you mean, over by the new Quartic?! Of course I can handle it—just tell me when and where to show up...🙂

Nah, it's actually over on Krizanic Avenue, right near the mosque.

Any boxing matches going down? Anyone know where I can catch some action... just need it to be decent quality and not break the bank

I’d highly recommend checking out Shorinja Kempo at the "Shaolin" martial arts club—$67/mj, Mon-Wed-Fri, right by the Lisinski concert hall. You can find all the details over at www.shaolin.hr. Hope to see you there!

It's at the high school over on Krizanice, right near the Sheraton.
But if everything goes according to plan, we should be getting our very own gym in a different location soon!

Is that open to women too?
