The film is nothing short of a masterpiece. Honestly, it’s probably the only one where I can actually stomach watching Tom Cruise...

Honestly, I have no idea why this thread is so dead. This movie is a total classic for me.

The only issue with Dustin Hoffman is that he basically plays the same twitchy, high-strung guy in every single movie. It’s like he’s just playing that one nervous lawyer from a rogue jury over and over again. Honestly, I'm not a fan of Dustin Hoffman—he just doesn't seem to have that transformative range...

Man, that was such a beautiful movie. What year did it even come out? 🤔 I still remember catching it at the local AMC; I think that was actually the first time I ever went to a theater without my parents tagging along. 😁

...I might risk sounding like a total killjoy here, but I’ll just be honest: I think the movie is overrated. Don't get me wrong—the acting is solid—but it's just way too polished and sentimental to ever feel truly serious...😳

Honestly, Dustin completely outshined Tom Cruise in that movie—maybe that’s why I didn't pay as much attention to him? Either way, it's an all-around fantastic film with a killer soundtrack.

What was that saying again—one man's trash is another man's treasure?

Personally, I actually find that exact brand of twitchy, nervous energy that Dustin brings to his roles to be his best quality, and it's really what makes his characters work for me.
