Try playing any heavy metal riff on a classical guitar, an organ, or just a basic piano and you'll see my point. Or try the reverse: take some two-part inventions by Bach or any of Grieg's technical exercises and play them through a distortion pedal, and suddenly you've got Maiden or Metallica. At some point, classical music had to evolve; if you break it down, all those elements are right there.🙂
